It's so good. Just perfect from start to finish.

And you just don't see dialogue like this very often:

quote:

Ken: How did your date go?

Ray: My date involved two instances of extreme violence, one instance of her hand on my cock and my finger up her thing, which lasted all too briefly - isn't that always the way? - one instance of me stealing 5 grams of a very high quality cocaine and one instance of me blinding a poofy little skinhead, so, all in all, my evening pretty well balanced out...fine.

Ken: You've got five grams of coke?

Ray: No, I got four grams on me and one gram in me, which me heart is going like the fricking clappers as if I'm about to have a heart attack, so if I collapse any minute now please remember to tell the doctors it might have something to do with the coke.

Collin Ferrell's career is essentially bifurcated. He bottomed out after a series of terrible movies, and he remade himself as a reliable lead actor in smaller independent films. Martin McDonagh saved his career.

Now, he's been in some of the most interesting movies recently, like In Bruges and The Lobster. He's also getting good supporting work in big studio stuff. He's hysterical in Horrible Bosses and he's absolutely terrific in Crazy Heart.

He was pretty horrible in Alexander....along with everyone else in that movie.

He played a decent douche in Phone Booth

I like Phone Booth.

Miami Vice is a guilty pleasure movie for me.

Agreed.

I want to say that I found it before it got big...it was through word of mouth. I feel like the first time I saw it was in 2010?

I have seen Seven Pyschopaths about as many times. It is great as well!

The Killing of a Sacred Deer

Assuming you liked this movie. It looked interesting af but had horrible reviews. What's the board's consensus on this movie?

Phone Booth will always be my example of a movie I stumbled upon on tv, not knowing what it was or what it was about, and really enjoyed.

He helped to give us In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths. He can do no wrong now imo

I have mentally prepared myself for an avalanche of red arrows.

In Bruges sucks. It isn't funny. The characters aren't interesting. The acting is pretty good throughout, very good in parts - but there is no "there" there. It's an empty shell of a movie. I literally cannot fathom what people see in it.

I've just accepted that I'm in the miniscule minority of people who just don't get it.

He plays a great a-hole in Minority Report. Nailed the chewing gum with your mouth open part that is a telltale sign of any true a-hole.
