This was another great season of a show that I never thought could be good for this long.

I will say I’m not sure where they go from here. All the teen drama is wrapped up satisfactorily.

Kreese is back out there, but what is he going to do without us seeing a character regression from one of the cast of kids?

Finished the new season. It’s pretty awesome. They completely ramped up the “seriousness” of it, which felt a little odd. Normally it’s tongue in cheek but this season has multiple attempted murders with deadly weapons.

Not sure where they go from here but I assume Kreese will be the big bad now that Silver is presumably in prison. I’m just not sure what the plot will be. Silver wanting to go global with this global tournament is pretty large scale.

This show has no business being as good as it is but man it’s fun as shite and does such an amazing job of weaving a new show in and out of the old movies.

I absolutely can’t believe they addressed the fake weights thing from KK2. That made my day.

Silver won't be in LA jail for long, he's too rich.

They still have a world tournament to fight in next season.

Chozen was using those to get more money for the villagers. Larusso ruined that too.

I can buy that. I’m always down for shitting on Danyasa.

I forgot to mention earlier how awesome the Rocky 4 stuff was. That was outstanding. And there were several other references throughout the season that were subtle but awesome (and some not so subtle). Barnes “get up!” from KK3, Stingray “come with me if you want to live” from T2, Rocky 4, etc.

Another thing I thought about too was the granddaughter sensei literally fighting kids and injuring them. Like when Tory was at the dojo and she was trying to make her punch the stones, when Tory went to leave the other senseis blocked her way. I’d have been like are y’all gonna murder me or something, because I’m definitely leaving.

Also, I wonder if both dojos are still invited to the sekai taikai tournament now that it’s common knowledge that Silver paid off the referee in both that battle and the last AV tourney.

It was also a little ridiculous that these grown adults can’t seem to go anywhere in public without starting or getting into fights. Even Amanda and her cousin got into a bar brawl.

I thought this would’ve been a better clip for them to “expose” cobra Kai at the end, but they wanted Tori to have to expose her fake victory to pull it off.

This is exactly what I thought. I feel they gave themselves an out if they wanted to not do something right away. It felt like the end of the "we have to stop cobra Kai" arch that started when Krese ousted Johnny at the end of season 2.

Krese and Kim Da Eun could join forces since it showed her watching Krese and Silver in the flashback. The main issue here is I'm not sure how or why they would get more students.

I think what they should do is a flash forward a few years (post college when most everyone has moved back), have Krese meet Silver on his release date and they go bonkers. Plus this would involve new younger high school students that do not understand how they manipulate people.

Wonder if Mike Barnes gets back into Karate with Myagi-do..

Maybe they take over Cobra Kai students and locations. With all the guys teaching..as a way daniel can help make hime whole again, giving him a location and 25% ownership

Who would you rather spend time learning from?:

Daniel
Johnny
Barnes
Chozen

yeah, Kyler was basically the worst character since season 1.

Well, except maybe the LaRusso kids.

He is so damn one-dimensional it kills every scene he is in.

I hate Kyler, they've had every opportunity to give him some depth and its never evolved. Could have been an interesting character, but he just sucks

I hate him too. His character hasn't really changed, but I think it might be for a reason.

No matter what Cobra Kai does (think negatively), there will always be a Kyler to follow CK's teachings.

Just my 2 cents.

If it’s one thing I’ve learned from this show, it’s that parents in the valley don’t give a shite what their kids are up to

I'm glad Edwin finally got a line. Dude has been background in like 70% of the episodes, and done nothing but fort nite dances and take round house kicks to the face. At least he got to call someone a bitch this season.

They have gave him another chance with him removing the Cobra Kai jacket after Silver was exposed but then he just took credit when he was being interviewed. It would seem like they (the writers) want him to stay that way.

I would be interested to see what happens with Kenny and when/if we see his brother get out of juvey.

Agreed and this totally would have been fine had the main rivalries (Miguel/Robby) (Sam & Tory) not been kind of resolved at this point.

I think they wrote themselves into a corner with Terry going to jail. It was all kind of set up perfectly for the final showdown in Season 6 at the world tournament. I have a feeling Cobra Kai will still be at the tournament. Just with Kim’s students with Kreese and maybe even Kenny

Great season, but I was really disappointed Barnes got wiped out of that final fight.

Would have been awesome seeing him and Johnny teaming up against the CK sensei gang. They would have still been overmatched but would have been at least somewhat more realistic. Johnny would have gotten killed by those dudes

He also deserved a shot at Silver imo.

But by far the most disappointing thing in the entire season was Kenny basically never even getting hit. That little fricker was such a cocky bitch, and really hadn’t done anything to earn that type of attitude.

Pushing Anthony around is one thing, but straight up kicking Hawk and Robby’s arse with the Silver Bullet thing was just lame imo.

I wanted to see Robby beat his arse, and he totally would have. No clue why they didn’t give him some comeuppance.

The Sam and Tory arc ended up getting handled well after the silly fight scene when Tory tried to talk to her at the party. I liked how that ended up.

Definitely glad we should be past the Sam and Miguel drama too, they should just be together now.

Ultimately I felt like the first half of the season was better than the second, but that last fight definitely felt epic, like a finale almost. Especially Silver fighting Chosen and then Daniel. He’s such a great villian.

Eh. It still felt like to me Hawk and Robby both were and are better fighters but two things played a factor in Hawk getting beat: 1. Hawk's overconfidence. It happens every time for his character. The times he's focused, he's really good. The times he's cocky, he gets beat. Almost every season has moments like that for Hawk. 2. the cheap shot silver bullet. Score was realistically 1-1 but the ref didnt give Hawk the point. If not for the Silver Bullet, Hawk most likely takes him down in a close match.

As for Kenny/Robby...it's clear Robby was definitely going easy on Kenny. He doesn't want to hurt him. That's, in Robby's mind, his student. Kenny is good but five months ago Robby schooled him with his flip kick to the face

I've always been a huge fan of Hawk and even though he's champion, it's still clear Robby and Miguel are a tier above him. Robby only lost because he got distracted and Miguel has technically never lost a fight (though I feel like that's going to happen in Season 6)
