CK has been my overall favorite show since the first season (including Mando and Bobba),but I don't believe I would watch spin-offs without Daniel and Johnny. Although I love many of the younger characters within this world, I'm only invested if my childhood heroes are involved.

Yeah I watch for Daniel and Johnny. I wouldn’t watch without them even though I’m invested in a few others like Hawk, Tory and Robby

Someone mentioned that the girl fight was predictable, I was actually surprised at both the final fights.
I assumed Sam would beat Tory and was shocked that Hawk beat Robby. Although I was pumped as they did a great job getting me to root for Hawk again. And after he got the Moon juice I didn’t even find it hard to believe he’s be ready to kick anyone’s arse
The ref twist at the end is a great way to make the Tory/Sam story even more complex. I’m assuming Tory is going to be fully redeemed next season. Having Mrs Larusso reach out to her worked out great for her story.

Episode 5 was awesome and hilarious. Peak Cobra Kai with Johnny’s twitter rant (hashbrown dead meat) and the Rocky 4 training montage for the showdown. I was rolling

I was shocked too. I thought for sure Sam would win and Robby would win.
I’m glad Hawk won though. He’s been my favorite for a while even though he was a dickhead in Season 3. I know Robby is still better than him but Hawk is definitely on Miguel’s heels for being the 2nd best fighter. In fact, I’d say he is until Miguel heals fully.
Still, Hawk and Robby’s fight was badass. Easily the best fight in the series so far other than Johnny and Daniel vs Kreese.

The only thing I thought was a little overdone was Miguel’s injury. They have been thinking he’s going to be paralyzed at the conclusion of episode nine, only to find out it’s a pulled muscle! Other than that it the show is as great as it always is.

3 episodes in. How do they cram so much awesomeness into little half hour segments? When Terry reached into the drawer and pulls out the little ponytail scrunchy thingy, thus returning to the dark side, I knew this was going to be great.
