Good thing Magildachunks has now validated your opinion from back then. Finally

I’ve always been on board the TDK is overrated train.
BB
The Prestige
Inception
Are Nolan’s best movies
The first 2/3 of TDK is really good - but the third act is absolutely trash
TDKR is a parody of a Batman film
And Tenet may be the worst movie I’ve seen in the theater in my life

Yeah I remember All the times Spider-Man murdered the guys he had hanging in his webs for the greater good.

His best film is Batman Begins
That was his best Batman film.
But his BEST film is The Prestige.

It is silly to call Nolan overrated. Simply put, he has enough great movies that most appreciate and a style that forces the viewer to have to think, which very few movies do.
I think the idea of TDK was a great one. The execution lacked simply because, as others pointed out, too much was forced into one movie. I think the problem with the types of deals made over these comic book movies is that the movie companies are eerie about getting my on the hook for too much with one group. Had it been a 4 or 5 series of films for the Dark Knight series, I think Nolan would have done far less cramming into the TDK and allowed for more character development, particularly with Dent.
In regards to the Jokers plan, his goal was to create chaos and he didn’t really care about things working out to a tee. The guy but set his half of the mobsters money because it wasn’t about the money. It was about the chaos for him. That is what he strove for.
Being in the same jail isn’t so h believable seeing as he didn’t have to 1) literally be in the same cell and 2) I doubt the police were going to take all the perps picked up from the event to random precincts.
All that said, the movie was not as good as many May have felt initially, but was still huge on the development of the characters of Batman, the joker and Chief Gordon.

The Joker's entire plan relies on Batman and Dent making very specific choices and actions. And one of those is that he will be in the same Jail that his guy with a phone bomb in his stomach is in. But before that, his plan relies on Batman and Dent coming up with a plan along with Gordon to "Bring him out" along a route that they decided right before they started the ruse.
Then it relied on Batman not killing him, which is why Batman is a stupid character that I've always put in the lower section of my favorite comic characters. The "no killing" rule is an idiotic rule.
Wolverine, The Punisher, and hell, Spiderman, would have killed the Joker in a heartbeat. Spiderman would have been the most reluctant, but would have done it anyway because there's no reason to let that man live.
But bac to the Dark Knight movie, the Joker's masterplan is one he has no control over. He puts his final chesspiece in the hand of others. Which makes no sense.
There are police on both boats. His plan is to trick the boats into blowing at least the other up by making them believe that if they don't, the other boat will blow them up, so they must strike first. But the police on both boats would take the triggers, and...that's it. Nobody would push the button.
And then Batman tells Gordon that he must proclaim him to be the villain to protect the image of Dent so that the citizens still believe in Dent and are inspired by what he preached.
But why? Why did Batman have to take the blame and become the bad guy? There was no reason to even think of that ploy, much less suggest it, and then agree to it.
Why blame Batman for Dent's crimes, when you could just blame the Joker?
The entire movie is stupid. It's like the Matrix: it's a film that delves into philosophical concepts that are considered deep by a person who only took an Intro to Philosophy course.
This is all painfully, embarrassingly stupid.

Spiderman wouldn't have killed Joker because he didn't kill Green Goblin after he killed Gwen Stacy
