Standard nerd level comic book store banter carried over to comic book movies.
Don't see anything weird about it in the least.

Idk. When I'm in the comic book store. I talk about comics i read or ask about comics i want to read. Or look for recommendations for stuff to read.
I don't go on there and tell everyone the comics they like are trash because YouTube told me they were.
Also The shield is a symbol. Captain America has a shield. That's why it was such a big deal who got the shield in the tv show. Which was not a good show i admit. But i watched it not hundreds of videos on it.

Seems like there's 3 to 4 factions out there and maybe there used to be less.
1) the sunshine pumpers that eat it all up
2) the ones that just want the good old days of the MCU to come back or those that just are apathetic now
3) the ones that live to eat up the YouTube zeros who "hate watch" this stuff for views and money
4)those that just take each one for what it is and either like it or don't
MCU movies aren't masterpieces and I'll admit that I'm pretty easy to please with my super hero movies. That said I'm completely apathetic to the MCU as it is today. I'll watch Daredevil and new Spider-Man. I looked forward to falcon & WS and was let down. I may catch this one on Disney+. I don't care about all the new 2010+ heroes they are trying to push in the current MCU. If you do, that's fine. It's a lot like comics. Some are a lot more popular than others. For some reason some of the least popular ones get an infinity number of reboots (cough cough Captain marvel/ms marvel).
There were turds in the infinity saga too. They were just much fewer in number. Take the MCU for what it is. It's not likely it will reach the highs of the infinity saga again and that's ok. Also, I think Kevin Feige is to blame for the disjointed mess this phase has become.

I have high hopes for the two upcoming avengers movies but i feel most of the stand alones are mid. Gen x/ millennial mid. Not Gen Z / alpha mid which is actually bad. Mid as in middle of the pack.

Then you’re the unicorn because there’s always different opinions by fans from one perspective or another. Same in sports, politics, religion, and pretty much everything.

Ok but it still seems fairly obvious that in taking over as captain america he would keep the shield.
If he just had the wings he would just be falcon.

I’ve never been in a comic book store but I assume they smell bad and feel cringey.

I only comment on teams I’ve actually watched play. Can’t imagine someone telling me “ dude I can’t believe you like the braves, Ronald Acuna is traaaaash” and then they admit they’ve never watched a Braves game.

They smell like 30 year old paper.
Saw it yesterday with my kids (9 and 10). We were entertained overall but it was not great by any stretch.

Is Disney smart enough to kill of this Cap?

Only if they go the Doctor Who route and make new Cap Trans

For a guy who didn't watch this movie, already made up his mind he wouldn't like it and won't watch it, you sure do have a lot to say about it considering you have 99 posts in this single thread. Your posts alone make up almost 20% of this 28 page thread.
Thanks for bringing nothing but stupid shite to this thread, as per the usual with you.

Ouch. Thats gonna leave a mark
According to boxofficemojo, that puts it on par with Thor: Dark World, and Dr Strange

If it's T:DW level, Marvel is doomed.

Thor: Dark World
Other than that, BNW was better than DW. On par with Dr. Strange, as far as overall quality.
Middle of the pack MCU movie, overall.
Mackie and Ford were really good
Latin Flyer was just the worst
Sabra was just dumb.
Gus was wasted for what, 2 minutes?
I'd give it a 6/10.
It was one of the MCU films of all time

I am not a comic book nerd so can someone explain red hulk?

That's me.
I liked the story reaching back to "the forgotten movie" (Hulk) to bring an old loose end and how they used that to introduce the Red Hulk. I especially liked that Sterns' plan made sense (did everything to ruin Ross in every possible way for double-crossing him). Mackie had a solid performance (as usual) and I even liked New Falcon. The CGI was solid.
I did not like the over-reliance on Redwing. The amount of uses came across as the writers considered it a crutch to use to get out of corners they had written themselves into.
Security cameras? Redwing can "pause" it.
Need a missle taken out? Redwing.
Need your shield to float around behind you to block bullets? Redwing.
Need plane wings manipulated? Red... no, wait... TWO Redwings.
Need to distract Fulk (Ford-Hulk)? Yep, two Redwings again.
About the only time they didn't use Redwing when perhaps they should have was when Captain Falcon was trying to break into the canopy of the speeding jet. Instead of the winds ripping him off the plane as he holds the shield heroically high, he somehow maintains his grip. WTF?
Ford did a good job through most of the movie, but there were times his pacing in delivering his lines missed on a cylinder or two.
Casting completely shite the bed with Spinner,... I mean Sabra. The actress is 5'2" but she looked like 4'9" in shots with the other actors and her slight frame didn't help as it made her look 12. Good actress, but they needed to use some magic to make her seem taller or else go with another actress because her tininess was distracting.
The racism cultural workshop speech at the end (the "everyone who wants a seat at the table" talk in the hospital) was completely unnecessary and served to once again show that Marvel/Disney absolutely refuses to understand how fans hate being beaten over the head with that crap. At least they waited til the end, but that it was there at all shows an incredible devotion to idiocy.
Overall, it was FAR better than Thor: shite & Thunder and better than Eternals, but definitely the least of the Cap movies.
