Yeah, I find it very disconcerting to see a bunch of black aristocracy in 18th century England. It doesn't work.

i find it silly, not disconcerting, but it was fine. it wasn't shoving it in your face and i am usually pretty annoyed at that sort of thing.

speaking of shoving things in your face, i found the intimate scenes between the two main characters a little too... up close and personal. their sex scenes were much more uncomfortable than adding random diversity.

Me too. I heard it can be embarrassing to watch it around family members. I'm trying to decide if I should continue??

I'm sitting through this while my wife watches. We are halfway through episode two. Do any of these women ever actually show their tits? I'm not sure how much longer I am going to hang on if there is never any actual payoff.

There's also a great deal of evidence that Queen Charlotte was black.
One painting out of hundreds depicted her with larger lips and nostrils than she actually had. . .and rumors started based SOLELY on that painting.

Some people liked the rumor so they have shoehorned some stuff to make it seem viable.

There is no evidence of any Black African ancestry.

One VERY distant relative (~500 years before) was said to be Moorish, but most likely Mozarab.

And the overwhelming majority of Moors were not black, people only think they were because of Othello. Berbers, Jews, Arabs made up most of the Moorish. That is the name given to all the North African people by the Euros, after Muslims came to Spain.

. Eloise was a hoot. Easily my favorite character.

The Eloise character is younger than Daphne, the main character in season 1, and does not know where babies come from.

The actress who plays her is 31.

It's not a terrible show.

It is what it is.

It's something the wife and i can watch together.

No there's not. You've brought this BS up before to satisfy your black fetish.

Someone else bumping a thread from months ago isn't me bringing it up again, I've not posted anyything new in here except this post. And what sort of black fetish do you think I have? What does that mean? Pretty dumb on your part.

I don't know, man. I find it weird how you're always talking about it. There are a lot of interracial couples in my immediate friends/acquaintances circle, but the only one that gives me weird vibes is the white guy with an Asian wife couple, where the guy is about all things Asian. Just get similar vibes from you. Just an observation.

What am I always taking about? I've never started a single thread on here about black people or culture. That's the rest of you. But because you think a friend of yours is weird and has a thing for asian culture that makes you think I have a black fetish? You don't know me, we've never met or spoken in person but somehow you can make an assessment of me because you don't like your friend's thing. How does that make sense to you? Sounds to me like the weirdo is you.
