my hot take is that Liz Hurley in this movie is the most beautiful woman to have ever existed on earth.

And the basketball player was the best. Hilarious movie. Brendan Fraser got screwed; should have been an even bigger star.
It's a shame he didn't get out there and give 110%.
I love this movie.

"You can't read that, that's private stuff!"
" You're telling me, listen to this. Last night was the most incredible night of my life. I never did get any of the guys' names, but I brought them back home and all five of them banged me like a Salvation Army drum."

No doubt. Only one woman was hot enough to pull off a portrayal of Lucifer… and make you LIKE her… and that woman was Liz Hurley.

If the devil came up to me looking that like, I'd be in trouble.

That’s exactly how he … or she…does it.

She seems like she’s fun.

Fortunately, the Lord blessed me with bad looks I guess. He really looks out for his children.

Didn’t he retire by choice?

Not a hundred percent positive, but I think he had some bad injuries form the Mummy franchise that put him out of acting for quite a while, plus a messy divorce that left him broke and kinda fricked up mentally for a long time.

These are essentially correct. The second Mummy movie really hurt him and then his divorce was really bad. The man went through a lot for what seems to be one of the nicest human beings one can meet.
There’s a reason the meme of him being declared a national treasure is going around.

The last thing I saw him in was the Affair…he played a real a-hole guard at a prison. He looked terrible and it was very jarring to see him play a bad guy.

Just looked up Elliot's stats from the basketball game because me and my friends used to joke about it...
104 points
45 rebounds
32 assists
37 steals
28 blocks
The final score was 135-85...so somehow his 32 assists were only worth 31 points. and the other team still scored 85 points despite having at least 37 turnovers and 28 shots blocked.

He also had a producer stick a finger up his a-hole I believe and there was fallout from that.

He did get injured on Mummy but that didn’t end his career. Back in 2003 - Before ‘Me Too’ broke, Fraser claims he was sexually assaulted by the head of the Hollywood Foreign Press. He privately asked for an apology. The rest..
“He knows now that people wonder what happened to Brendan Fraser, how he went from a highly visible public figure to practically disappearing in the public mind, and he'd already told me most of it. But this, he says, is the final piece. The experience, he says, “made me retreat. It made me feel reclusive.” He wondered if the HFPA had blacklisted him. “I don't know if this curried disfavor with the group, with the HFPA. But the silence was deafening.” Fraser says he was rarely invited back to the Globes after 2003. Berk denies that the HFPA retaliated against Fraser: “His career declined through no fault of ours.”“
