if you don't think she plays a major roll in the end, then you're basically blind

i think walt needs the m60 to go after either the czechs, lydia or todd & his dad's gang as revenge after they kill some or all of his family.
I get how this makes sense (Lydia/Czech storyline) I just think it is kind of rehashing what we already went through with Walt and Gus. I don't see how it brings anything new unless the ultimate theme of the show is "once you are in the drug game, there is no exiting".

i think that's the point. he worked so hard and tread so thin of a line in taking over gus and getting that power, that he's blind to the idea that there are far more ruthless people in this game than Gus Fring.

why would it be? you think lydia is running a HUGELY PROFITABLE international drug running operation yet somehow lacks the ability to strongarm a person who she knew was planning to kill her??
wtf do you think she's been doing all this time?? sitting around wringing her hands and hoping walt doesn't 'come knocking'.
she's not stupid.

Dude, there is NO way Walt gets off Scott free. He either loses his life, freedom, family, or sanity.
In the end evil doesn't win and I would be disappointed if the ending to the story is Saprano-esque.

Definitely makes sense and is sort of following the theme of The Wire.
I have just always seen the show being about redemption and sacrifice in the end... which I guess could still be possible with the Lydia/Czechs, we will see.

I have always thought that Walt dies sacrificing himself for jesse. The Czechs and Lydia could certainly be the ones who kill him in that scenario.

Walt is now Gus and Lydia is now Hiesenburg. The circle is complete. The only question left is does Walt go out like Gus?

Walt won't die.
In fact I bet they leave it open for a movie in some way.

I was all for that theory until this season. Now I'm not so sure Walt isn't Jessie's grim reaper.

exactly what i was thinking. Lydia has more resources and more money at her disposal than Walt too.

not in the physical sense, i don't think. But he will have all the things he loves taken form him...his power, his family, the money means nothing to him. I think in the end he'll just be a guy on the run dying of cancer.
Posted on 8/12/13 at 10:33 am to Carson123987
Walt dying would be a tiddy ending. The whole story is zero-sum meaning he was going to die from cancer without the meth so dying from the meth is the universe balancing itself.
Honestly I know that anything I come up with will be wrong an I hope that my favorite TV show of all time doesn't disappoint me. I'm just worried that I'm expecting too much.
