The pants on the ground are Walts pants from their first cook at that spot in the RV.

What did y'all think about the song choice in the ending? I loved it, personally, I am not familiar with the song, but have since listened to it and the tone of it makes it sound like a happy ending almost, but the lyrics fit very appropriately with the ultimate demise of Walt.

Perfect. I don't think they could have picked a better song.

Also, my fiance' hasn't watched the ending yet and asked me this morning if it is a sad ending. I told her it depends on how you look at it, but I told her I think it is a happy ending seeing as how all of Walt's agenda was checked off essentially.

ETA: And Jesse gets away and basically has his whole life ahead of him. Gilligan said in an interview something along the lines of "I'd like to think Jesse has good times ahead of him."

It was kinda sad seeing Walt die but it happened in the best possible way. Plus you KNEW it was coming...the only question was 'how?'

Really can't ask for much else in a finale.

I hate those type of questions. Just watch it

If you say said she automatically thinks someone dies etc

Any fan who isn't braindead knew someone would die in the finale...

Edited again: Let me clarify, all I said to her was "Depends on how you look at it." I didn;t mention any of the other stuff to her about Walt dying or Jeese or anything. Sorry that was misleading

that was just an example.

I just ate when people say how was it. I just tell them watch it and find out for yourself.

Season 5 was about building an empire. Other seasons lead to get to that point, including killing Gus. Who did u want the villain to be?

Walt. He was "villain-y," but not "villainy-y" enough.

Without mike as a foil to show us that Walt was wildly self-destructive despite having other better alternatives, his decision making wasn't as interesting to me as it was during four and the beginning of five.

Season 4 was easily the best. I don't even think it's close.

What stops me from putting 5 on top is the huge as time break in the middle. Any steam gained in the first half was dissipated during the break.

For that reason, I agree season 4 was the best.

I haven't seen it mentioned but I missed a few pages.

Did anyone else get a chuckle out of the wire scene? It seemed to reference all of the theories that Walt was wearing one in Denny's.

Yeah I laughed at that too. Especially the way Walt almost rolled his eyes when he said it
