I hate the Rothstein deal. I feel a bit let down by that one. I mean, they have done nothing but build up this intense rivalry that looked like it would inevitably lead to some major war and they just shake hands and forget about it?

Yeah for a million dollars....in 1930. That's a shite load of money.

How did Van Whatever cover up him murdering his partner? Did they address that and I just didn't catch it?

He claimed he died of a heart attack or something in passing. They didn't really address it.

yeah, I don't think it was as minute as you make it out to be. When Nucky told him what he wanted, you can tell by Rothstein's reaction how big of a deal that was......anyone know how much $1M translates to today's money? Because I'm sure it's ridiculous. Especially just to get rid of an indictment.

It would basically be the word of a federal agent against a bunch of black people. At that time in history, I would guess most of those people would have been terrified to come forward and say anything. Especially when it's pretty clear Van Alden is batshit crazy.

I guess also back then they couldn't tell the difference between a drowning and a heart attack death?

yeah they left a lot of story line out with Agent Van Alden. But if you string it together. He admits to his wife that they found the alcohol stihll out in the woods.

So I'm assuming Van Alden drug him into that building after he found it and claimed heart attack to his boss.

No.

Doyle works for Nucky.

The 3 brothers and the younger kid that hit the fat guy and robbed him got popped.
