My son loves to take a “bush wee”
about a month ago I took my oldest girl to soccer practice(shes 4) and toward the end she ran up to me and said she had to go to the bathroom. I told her she'd have to hold it until we got home because there weren't restrooms closer than our house, then she said, "I can just go do a bush wee real quick" and everyone started cracking up
I love that show so much

It's the ideal parents we strive to be but fall short.
Each episode is like 7 minutes. We dont see what happens the rest of the days or weeks.
It's easy to take 7 minutes and play creatively with the kiddos.
That's why the show is so good. All us dads ARE Bandit

Lucas the Spider is another one

Or the one where's he's dreaming about playing rugby and the mom implies that he never does anything for himself anymore. Hits hard.

I love how that's his name. Not Mr. Whatever. Everyone just calls him Lucky's Dad.

Well.. it’s Pat
Now that you mention it I THINK I've heard Bandit say it maybe once or twice?

This episode makes me cry. Every time. Doesn't matter how many times I've seen it.

There’s an entire episode where Pat is the main focus
Pass the Parcel
Really good episode, too. One of my favorites

Bluey is the best children’s program I’ve ever seen. It is simply incredible. I have 3 girls and the game playing and silliness hits so true
Rain and Baby Race are everything there is to know about parenting
Curry quest is probably my favorite episode. Everytime I am away for work I’ll watch it and cry.
For a seven minute show it’s incredible how they can take episodes in different directions. Copy cat starts off with annoying kids playing jinx, and then it’s an episode about kids understanding death through an injured bird.
Truly. 10/10.
Between Bluey and banning social media for kids, Australia might be having a parenting moment

The episode about the 80's is awesome.
"Nana was right. Not about her perm, but about..."
Dad trying to figure out how to jinx all the kids so they'll shut up
Its such a good blend of mindless entertainment and hit in the feels.
My wife said she saw there will be a movie in '27?

quote:the men aren't all bumbling idiots That's a great point. Even Lucky's Dad, who is supposed to be a goofy guy, has quite a few opportunities to show his redeeming qualities. He is always willing to jump into their games, even if it results in injury. He wants to instill some real world realities to the kids. He's a great neighbor.
Dads who watch Bluey definitely relate to the Dads on the show. That’s how well written it is. Really all of the characters could be people you know.

Just wanted to echo a lot of the comments here. My kids are a little older now than the original target audience, but they still put it on sometimes.
"Takeaway" sums up the exasperation/exhilaration of being a parent better than anything I've ever seen.

My wife and I don’t have kids but we’ve ended up being huge Bluey fans. A few years ago we started leaving the TV on cartoons for our dogs while we would be working around the house or in the yard. It keeps them distracted and occupied better than anything else we’ve put on. I guess they like to watch the colors and have the noise.
Back then it was always on Go, Dog, Go. But lately it’s been Bluey. It’s funny cause our older Corgi gets mad when we try to put another cartoon on. It’s gotten to the point where we’ll have Bluey on when we’re sitting and relaxing but really don’t want to watch anything. I love the show. You could very easily take the same script and turn it into a live action show.
