Not in this woke culture. The only movie maker getting away with the frequent use of the so-called "N-Word" is Tarantino------especially if Samuel L. Jackson is in the cast.

I had a customer at a commercial property whose customary greeting for me was What in the wide wide world of sports is going on?

Hell no. That and that movie with black Robert Downey Jr. and Simple Jack. People have no sense of humor anymore.

Saw as a double feature with Little Big Man at a drive in theater in Santa Fe. 1974 I think. What a night!

What a profound Karen statement. You must be fun at parties.

Burton Gilliam plays the smiley cowboy ("sing us some of them **** work songs").
He lived in Allen, Texas. Back when landlines were still around, we looked up his phone number and called him. He was very nice and seemed to enjoy getting the call.

Hell no. But that movie was one of the best comedies ever. Talk about brutal towards everyone which was great.

I meet him during a rain delay at a celebrity golf thing for charity. Very nice and low key. Was pals with Slim Pickins and told us a story or two about them. Also meet M. Emmet Walsh, the great character actor that recently passed. Also very nice.
Csb... Our celeb was some no name actor. Nice looking of course, decent golfer. About 5 holes into it he said to the 3 of us, "I'm so-and-so, from some soap opera... In case y'all are wondering". We all said, nah, but nice to meet you. His face betrayed a tiny bit of hurt/anger for just a second... Then he busted out laughing and said something like, "ok, thought that was the case".
It was a good time except the rain out.
