Exactly. If it's too expensive to get a drink and some popcorn along with my movie, then theaters are too expensive.

And for the morons on the board: "too expensive" doesn't mean "I can't afford it." It means the value is less than what they're charging.

Movie was pretty dang good. Seemed like a movie about Yelena more than a movie about Natasha. Seems certain that we'll see Yelena in the Hawkeye series, but surely she won't be villain for long. I'm interested in seeing how that plays out.

I hope we get more of the Winter Guard pop up. Would be neat to see more international heroes.

The more I think about this movie. The more it seems way more adult than other Marvel fare. I wonder if any parents were in for a shock on this one. Pretty wild to have a pg-13 movie where they are discussing having their reproductive organs removed.

They probably thought that was some female empowerment thing because he asked about her being on her period, but to me that just illustrates the true horror of unfettered immigration and open borders that are breeding grounds for the horrors of child trafficking.

Hey I'm just happy they didn't shy away from the story they meant to tell for political reasons, like they did with Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Why? Natasha addressed this in other movies.

The Red Room surgical procedures are closer to the FGM antics of the Aloha Snack Bar crowd, than anything, but obviously they're not going to draw those parallels.

Ok. I have not seen all of the movies. I did not know pedophilia rings were such a big part of the marvel cinematic universe.

I'm not sure they've so clearly hinted at the pedophilia aspect of it before.

ETA: My phone changed hinted to hunted.

Felt like I was watching “Marvel Star Wars” with the white robed orphan heroes going to the Death Star to fight Palpatine and his deformed masked henchman.

I wonder if we'll see another Taskmaster later on. The character is traditionally male. Would make sense for this female Taskmaster to want to ditch that moniker now.

Just finished it. Watched it at home on my baller entertainment system, having guzzled quite a few glasses of scotch. Spent about $21.50 more than I would have if I would’ve caught a matinee tomorrow, but like I said, my set up is awesome, and I got to watch from the comfort of home

It was fine. I’ve always been a fan of the character the David Harbour played from the comics, so that was neat. I don’t particularly care for Florence Pugh as an actor, but her character was cool. I’m sure this will be overrated to hell, but it was just fine.

Now that this is out, the thing I’m most excited about is moving the Marvel universe and storylines forward on the big screen. Yeah we have the series on Disney+, but that’s small potatoes

I wonder who he actual squared off with in the 80s or if he was really full of shite. We know it wasn’t Steve, but we also know that the government was testing other versions of the super soldier serum throughout the years so who knows who they had in a Captain America uniform throughout the years.

They could have it be Isaiah Bradley, in the Falcon show he was only incarcerated for 30 years so he would be released in
the 80s but then again he was hidden all this time so idk if it could work.

I will say Yelena is a great successor as Black Widow.

I hate they totally screwed up the character of Taskmaster though. I have no problem with them changing him to a woman but wish they would've kept the explanation of his powers and origin, being a ex shield agent would've fit with Natasha's story but sigh.

1st and 3rd acts were cool but the middle, especially the rescue of Alexei and the farmhouse bored me to tears.

Also thought Taskmaster was cool until they made it that dude’s daughter. Would have totally been fine with it being a woman who was also being mind controlled like the Widows but had a cool mimic power that was special that allowed her to mimic Cap, Panther, Natasha and Hawkeye. Instead they shoehorned it in for an emotional pull that was just totally laughable. Just piss poor writing.

Isn't that what they did? Her dad even said he put a chip in her brain and that's why she can mimic people.
