I guess they want to either make viewers sad or suicidal.

After the the shitty song they had for Spectre, thought for sure they’d go with Adele again or someone who could pull off that classic Bond theme sound. Guess not.

Considering the franchise has never had a repeat artist, and that only qualification seems to be "vaguely pop" (or Louis Armstrong), I don't know why anyone would assume this. Getting one of the biggest pop stars in the world is pretty standard for the Bond films.

Yep.

Shirley Bassey sang the themes for Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, and Moonraker.

I don’t know if eilish will be able to pull off the sound. The mumbling moody emo bit doesn’t seem fit for James Bond...

Nvm, who am I kidding, the entire Daniel Craig Bond persona has been moody emo

She was the perfect artist for Gatsby. While I didn't really like that movie I like they used her music.

Fair enough. My vaguely pop point still stands.

If you listen to more of her catalogue, you find that she actually can sing really well and I think this will be great.

Check this link for an example of how she can do other styles than what you hear on the radio:

This song has a vibe and feel that could be easily translated to a Bond theme.

Billie has a lot of songs that sound like Lana. It makes sense because she's openly admitted that LDR was a huge influence on her.
