... And why does it always seem like Rocky III or First Blood is on during that time?

Also seems that 80s and 90e films also always a great idea, especially from Tony Scott during this era.

Days of Thunder
True Romance
Enemy of the State

What else?

Harry Potter series

Honestly My go to. Something about it, I can just fade in and out of sleep with it in the background.

I know it’s not a movie, but I’ll put on king of the hill. Something about it is just comforting

Whenever I was a kid/teen I’d pop in the vhs of one of the following usually:

Patriot Games
The Pelican brief
The client
The Jackal (lol)
The usual suspects
Goonies
The princess bride

There are others, but these came to mind First.

Groundhogs Day is my go to sick movie. On DVD I would put it on a loop and take a bath, take some meds and pass out and wake up later watch some and repeat. It's comforting, the loops in the movie plus it being on repeat.

Just don't watch comedies if you have the stomach flu. You and your underwear can thank me later.

When I was locked up with Covid, I blew through a bunch of anime on Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Castlevania was a good time killer.

Go with comedies. Get a little laughter going to take your mind off feeling out of sorts.

Several years ago I had a horrible sinus infection and was prescribed some strong hydrocodone. I took two and laid on the couch.

So my wife took advantage of it and put on the extended version of The Sound of Music. I couldn’t move and couldn’t sleep either. So I watched TSOM in a stupor.

Whenever I see it on TV now, I have pleasant thoughts of being abused and amused.

“The pills have arrived with the sound of buzzing …”
