There’s an episode of Parks and Rec where Ron receives as a birthday gift a quiet, undisturbed evening of eating steak, drinking scotch, and watching Bridge on the River Kwai. So maybe that one.

Gonna need more than one scotch to watch a whole movie.

My go-to drinking movie recently has been Gettysburg. I've been on a little bit of a Civil War kick lately, and at around 4-1/2 hours (for the Extended Edition), you'll be absolutely hammered by the end.

I like to watch lowkey movies by myself with a good bourbon or scotch. the last one that I saw in this manner was "Chef" with Jon Favreau. The next day, I went to the local farmers market and bought a ton of various chile peppers and made a homemade Chile Verde with a pork shoulder.

This might be the worst movie to drink alone with a scotch.

Unless of course your goal is to convince yourself it will be your last scotch.

I remember putting down a good bit of bourbon when watching the newer Mad Max and having a pretty damn good time.

Will help you make positive strides towards admitting you are powerless and getting help with a program - if your idea of a good time is watching a movie with scotch as your only company.

No judgement, many of us have been there.

Or lock stock
* Kingsman is another good one

I like action and comedy when I'm watching solo, even better if they're one and the same

I’ll go with one starring a Scot.

The Hunt for Red October.
