I watched Bernie and Clay Pigeons this weekend. Both worth watching. Not the best but worth the time.

So I watched Dogtooth while waiting for the championship game. It was just awful. I get the odd, dream like quality and the bizarre behavior of the family, but it was just a little too weird and impersonal. Some history would have been nice, as well as a little more emotion. It was there but felt a bit manufactured and almost impossible to relate to. This was one of those movies that was either going to be great or bad.
Great concept that I would have loved in a fully fleshed out novel.

I watched drift the other night. The story was a little lacking but if you're into surfing it was pretty good. Awesome shots of the Australian coast

Watched Drinking Buddies last night. I enjoyed it. Good mix of humor and drama.
Really liked Frank and Robot. Highly recommended.

I need some action/thriller/drama movies to watch for the next week. I just had surgery and will be in bed. I've already watched Orange is the new Black, House of Cards, and some of the one ones mentioned in this thread.

I'll echo upstream color and the road recommendations.
two very solid films. to the wonder is good, if you're a malick fan.
they just took off a lot of great films, including serpico.
i'm pretty sure glengarry glen ross is still on there, and that simply is one of the best scripts and casts.
bernie is good. if tabloid is on there, check it out. it's great.
i didn't mind europa report. i'm looking forward to watching berberian sound studio and robert altman's three women when i get a chance.
if you have amazon prime, five easy pieces is on there. watch it. as is one flew over the cuckoo's next.
