I'm shocked at how well Paranormal Activity is doing. I like found footage horror, but I thought people would flock to Candyman given that it's now "classic" horror. Is 1992 now classic?

I always thought of Tremors as more of a comedy

There were a few movies that we discussed that were up in the air. Tremors, Terminator, Seven, Silence of the Lambs, Misery, The Menu. If I had to make an executive decision I would have probably held Terminator out since it had it's chance in the action movie tournament, but it didn't receive enough votes anyway.

I personally don't see Tremors or The Menu as a horror movie but enough people did so I let them in. Though now that it's in I voted for Tremors and am hoping for the big upset.

I would consider Scream a classic and its from 1996, its over 30 years old, so yeah

i like both of these but the audition is a much better horror. i think its relative obscurity is gonna kill it here.

oofff that brutal. killing of one of two heavy hitters this early.

Not sure which one you're referring to but both of those can pretty easily be defined as horror. There are a few others that are more fringe horror than those two.

I voted online but can you add a vote to Omen and take one from Oculus...it was listed as Event Horizon online and I would have voted for The Omen, i nominated it and its one of my favorites.

Yea I had never even heard of the Audition. I am admittedly not a huge horror fan though. I normally don't vote on ones where I havne't seen both movies but i actually voted for Misery here because I like it a good bit. Is Audition a supernatural horror? Premise sounds good but I tend to stay away from supernatural.

My nightmares are messed up enough, I do not need to be adding demons in the mix

Was pretty surprised at the relatively low amount of votes for Dawn of the Dead. Shaun of the Dead got almost as many votes.

Yea that's a mistake on my part and I can edit the poll.

Going to probably just only use the non poll version voting for that particular matchup. If it's a really close matchup i might have to make a separate poll and take some more votes.

No, no supernatural stuff. its a straight up psychological/ torture horror.

probably more of a reflection of how revered its opponent is. The Thing should be legitimately in contention for top spot imo.

Friendly reminder that I DID NOT DETERMINE THE SEEDING, there was a nomination round for that.

I think it would have been better if you did. Hard to do this by committee with relatively low input. Or put out a few different options and let people decide the best bracket while making a few changes here and there.

I think its great the way it is. People are going to complain either way, no need for him to take the time out of his life to create multiple brackets for people to bitch about as well.

I must've missed the nominations. I definitely would've nominated Spellbinder, Silent Night Deadly Night, Jeepers Creepers, Night of the Creeps, The Blob, Gremlins, The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane, Cujo, Weapons, Cape Fear, Phantasm, Creepshow.....
