I'm digging it. Cool period and David Thewlis best role since Fargo.

I think this guy is going to betray his country.

I hope, and expect, this woman on the left, will be burned at the stake.

I’m digging it so far. You can tell it’s adapted from a pretty in depth book, but they’re doing a decent job developing the story lines and characters.

I had to wiki the book (I really like the author so not sure why I haven't read it), and it's definitely very interesting what happens in it. I kind of hope they have different intentions with the series, though if they make the whole novel at this pace... it will be a very very long series (the novel spans like 300 years and follows multiple generations of the descendants of some of the characters).

I’m in the middle of E2. It looks better than Frontier so far.

Don’t want to create spoilers.

I wonder what Delphine’s new husband saw that turned him away from her.

I was thinking like a c-section scar... maybe that’s too obvious

They were all check for virginity by the nun. That's why the blond has the secret and was given the blood to smear on her wedding day. Not sure they could peform a c section back then anyway.

I forgot about that.

Tonight's episodes:

"Buttermilk"-Mathilde encourages Bouchard to reestablish his authority. Trepagny solicits help for a dangerous mission. Delphine's fate changes course.

and

"The Wobble"-Trepagny and Bouchard incite war with their rescue attempt leaving the Sel and Father Gabriel's fate in the balance and Cooke's loyalty is tested.

Now 6 episodes in, this show is incredible. So much to talk about but don't want to spoil anything. People need to catch on and catch up to this show, then we can discuss.

Episodes 5 and 6 all of a sudden, pulled it all together. The characters they had been building, they came into their own. Thewlis (however it's spelled) went from dufuss to savant for his understanding of his land.

Does anyone know if NatGeo has committed to additional seasons?

Amazon has the book, but they are sold out. It's not just a few folks on TD who've discovered it.

Delphine is by far the hottest prospect on the continent, but they expect us to believe nobody will screw her in a dark cabin because of what she revealed? Honey, blow out that candle and come on to bed.

Yea, that guy acting like he'd seen some Crying Game BS, not a scar. It can't be huge like the tat The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo put on that guy.

How did the nuns not see it when they checked her virginity?

I can only assume that the “Mark” of the woodcutter is seen as something similar to a brand on cattle, meaning that she belongs to someone else.
