Cuba Gooding Jr in Jerry Maguire
Cuba is a truly great actor that takes horrible roles

He was amazing in Men of Honor, Boyz in the Hood, Judgement Night, Radio, Instinct, and Gifted Hands.

Steven Seagal in Under Siege and Adam Sandler in Uncut Gems immediately spring to mind.

Wallace Shawn as Vizzini. He is about as terrible as it gets as an actor

Just when I thought no one would top the Burt take...

Wallace Shawn is an acclaimed actor with a 4+ decade career.

Nobody leans on Sharky's Machine.

BTW...that was a really good cast:

Burt Reynolds
Brian Keith
Charles Durning
Vittorio Gassman

Hayden Christensen in “Shattered Glass” always comes to mind here.

He took the whiny, entitled, unlikeable parts of Anakin and really morphed them into something compelling. Highly recommend.

White Lightning

not sure how anyone considers Burt Reynolds a bad actor.

Can't stand Jim Carrey but, he nailed the role of Ace Ventura

He picked the wrong person. Marky Mark is the answer. He is a bad actor who played a role of a bad actor and he nailed it.

Wahlberg was great in Boogie Nights (you admit he nailed it), Three Kings, The Departed, Ted, and The Fighter. While he has been a bit stiff and forced in some roles, he has too many good roles in too many different genres to be considered an overall bad actor. I think he will nail the role of a bald hitman in Flight Risk. Just because he started out as Marky Mark doesn't mean he can't grow.

I haven’t seen him in a dramatic role, but I get the feeling Burr could be an outstanding movie villain.
