My 12 year old daughter finally watched BTTF with me the whole way through. As Doc and Marty are going thru the clock tower scene, she was literally on the edge of her seat the entire time. I’ve seen that movie a hundred times and that scene still gets me every time.

We also talked about the fact that if Marty went back 30 years today it would be 1994 and he’d probably be playing Spoonman or Basketcase instead of Johnny B Goode. Jesus guys, we’re old now.

And 1994 is a bad arse year for music. And movies.

John Mullaney's bit on what it must have been like at the pitch for back to the future is pretty funny.

That's awesome. Honestly don't remember how old I was the first time I saw it.

Could you imagine kids today having to deal with dial up internet and things like AOL and Webcrawler?

Isn’t there some awkward near-sex scene with the mom?

My 9 year old was in shambles watching that scene. She couldn't handle the suspense.

Can’t wait to watch this with my kid for the first time when he’s old enough.

I was seven the first time I watched this movie. My parents rented it for me so many times, they finally bought a used copy at a local rental store for like $30.

I always liked the end....."where we're going, we don't need roads."

There are people on here watching The Exorcist with their 8 year olds, I don't think he should feel too bad for letting his 12 year old watch BTTF because of one awkward scene.

Which is worse? The near incest or the near rape?

Hot Tub Time Machine is about as close as you will get to it these days and they had a band perform Let’s Get Retarded in the mid-80s.

Lotta stuff to unpack if you are watching it as an adult. But I watched it back in the theater at the time and a huge amount of it went right over my head…

Besides the near incest and near rape scene, there is also the fact that George originally met Lorraine because he was peeping on her from a tree and likely about to start whacking it when he fell out of it and got hit / nearly hit, by the car.

And there is also Lorraine’s father exclaiming that they have “another one” he almost ran over, meaning that tree was a very popular spot.

I saw this at the movies back in the '80s. I was about 10. Loved it back then and love it still today.

Marty plays “Break Stuff”

Hey, Freddie! It’s me, your cousin MARVIN DURST! You know that sound you’ve been looking for? Well, listen to THIS!
