When they first came out the general consensus was that the Star Wars prequels were bad. But they seem to have improved with age if you can get past some of the dated CGI. I submit the Str Wars prequels are actually good.

1 is pretty bad outside of the Duel of the Fates showdown.

2 is pretty bad period.

3 isn't bad at all.

No, they're not. This idea lately that they're actually good is purely revisionist history.

No. They are all fatally flawed by bad dialogue, worse acting, and terrible CGI.

Episode 1 has the least bad CGI, so it has aged relatively well, but Jar Jar being a full retard ruins the movie. The other issue is the child cast as Anakin can’t act worth a shite. They should have cast a teenager who had some acting ability.

Episode 2 has a really good plot in the first half, but bad CGI is distracting, and the awful acting by Hayden Christenson ruins act two on Planet Romance. The interesting assassination plot is abandoned on Kamino with the even more plot of where this clone army came from is abandoned as well. The finale on Geonosis is thrilling despite how bad the CGI looks. Overall, this is the worst movie in the franchise.

Episode 3 is sorta bad, but in a fun way. It’s easily the most rewatchable prequel. It is so close to actually being a great movie, that it’s frustrating. The main flaws are the abrupt heel turn by Anakin in under 20 minutes of screen time (not the younglings!!!), and that epically dumb “Noooooooooo!!!!” At the end. It is so comically bad I literally groaned in the theater when I first saw it. I had been enjoying it so much and was like “mother f$&ker!” When that happened. ROTS is a decent Star Wars movie and a solid fun action movie in general.

The outline and overall story is great. It was just executed horribly. Lucas is good at big picture stuff, but he should have had others direct and write dialog.

Just watched them last weekend and even II was better than I remember. Most who say they aren’t just are salty boomers who are mad they aren’t the OT. They have pretty great world building in them and the rise of the empire is actually a pretty compelling plot.

Good? No.

They have a distinctive style that's somewhat memorable.

Much of the bad stuff is almost endearing in many ways.

They were bad, but mostly harmless.

The first 2 are not good, the 3rd is decent. They're all fairly entertaining though.

Why? we ALL know his story, from beginning to end.

A story about Vader would be as bad as one about Boba Fett. NO one gives a f about Boba, we all know about Boba and jenga. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I liked the maul fight and score. Didnt like the end of it, best part of the prequels imo was the duel of fates.

Compared to that piece of shite I watch last night, they were better than my first hand job

Also, good job on starting a new Star Wars thread and somehow not getting scolded

There are parts in AotC and TRotS that the CGI is so bad it is cartoonish. I can't get past that.
