I didn’t particularly liken the first one and I thought it was annoying at times but for some reason I’m looking forward to this one more.

Still, Therese movies don’t have anything on the Masterpiece Theater Poirot series

you can tell by the recent trailers they are trying to get away with showing as little of Armie Hammer as possible

Was planning on it but the sitter backed out this morning. Hopefully tomorrow if the backup is available

Mom got me into Agatha Christie books. Never seen a film adaptation that I enjoyed.

Didn’t they try to do reshoots to get him out of the movie or did I merely dream that?

This one has been delegated a number of times regardless, right?

I'll catch pretty much anything with Gal Gadot in it, but haven't seen this one yet.

I think you dreamed it because he was in the movie a pretty good bit. I enjoyed the movie, I liked Murder on the Orient Express and I thought that this one was better than that one

And Then There Were None (1945), Witness For The Prosecution (1957--willing to bet you haven't seen this one), Death On The Nile (1978), Evil Under The Sun (1982) and then the entire David Souchet series on Masterpiece Theater are all good. Can't wait to see this one.

We saw it this week.

I enjoyed it mostly. A bit more gripping than MotOE. Cast was fairly solid. I had a better time at uncharted.

I will say that it’s rare that somebody outclass Gal Gadot, but the actress that plays Jackie legitimately was the more stunning actress in this movie. Her other roles are meh.

She’s pretty good in Sex Education on Netflix but doesn’t hold a candle to gadot to me. She’s target brand Margot Robbie

No I agree. She looks very mediocre in other things.

She was just another level in this one.

Saw this in the theater with my wife Valentine's weekend, and then went and watched Murder on the Orient Express.

I felt Death on the Nile was too predictable. They truly telegraphed who the guilty party was to the point that I wasn't shocked in any way by the reveal.

After watching Murder on the Orient Express, I'm convinced the second film was so predictable because the first film was far too unpredictable. I doubt anyone would have independently come to the conclusion in that film without it being spelled out for them.

ETA: They were both good movies and my wife and I enjoyed them. I just don't think they nailed the "murder mystery" part of either film, but for different reasons.

My wife watched it yesterday, she genuinely enjoyed it. She loves murder mysteries.

I missed the Armie Hammer controversy entirely, and had to look it up to see what yall were talking about. Sent me on some interesting reading this lazy Sunday.
