I enjoyed Knock at the Cabin. Obviously had some silly parts, but the acting was good, and the story was good enough to keep me interested.

Maybe he plays this one straight up.

That’s the twist.

Its an M. Night Shyamalan twist my dude.

But that’s not a twist, that’s just a 10 minute movie where a guy gives the phone to the hundreds of swat officers around him

I'm with ya, but Hartnett could sell it.

Headline @ USA Today 'Hartnett plays a killer dad'

But sure, spoilers!

This is a theatre skip

Absolutely wait for it to stream and even then it’s a “eh sure why not “ movie

Hartnett is really good and he’s great facial acting but this isn’t anything groundbreaking at all

Never was a huge M. Night Shyamalan guy, but this new movie doesn't look too bad. I'll give it a shot.

I’d agree

And the dialogue… often it felt like
josh hartnett was talking to his daughter like she was special needs.

They’re watching the concert and she’s into it singing and fangirling and he’s like heyyyyyy wanna check out that contraption that leads under the floor it’ll probably go backstage that would be so cool !!!!

It felt so awkwardly out of place

Unbreakable is also a great film.

Yeah I thought Unbreakable was great. It was thankfully released before the superhero fatigue crept in, but I think it’s aged surprisingly well because was pretty unconventional. I thought Split was OK, and Glass was.. as you said.. ugh.

I also really enjoyed The Village, which a lot of people seem to hate for some reason.

Why would the cops go through this elaborate ruse and not just bring the guy in for questioning if he’s a suspect?

My actual theory is that his wife or daughter tipped the cops off and are assisting in the plot to catch him. But to my previous point, why the frick go through all the trouble?!?!

Because it’s yet another shitball M. Night Shamalamadingdong movie.

Just got out. This was not good. Unless you have a movie subscription pass and just looking for something to do, don’t waste your money going to the theater.

Is he just a gimmick writer/filmaker? Seemed like Split had reinvigorated him but instead of capitalizing on it he’s taken another nose dive. If this is as bad as you say he maybe out of chances with audiences.

I think the 6th sense twist is the greatest of all time, but I actually like unbreakable better overall.

Glass was fricking awful. I'm not sure I've ever been so disappointed in a movie in my life.

After Sixth Sense, folks kind of know his schtick.

I wonder if O. Henry had this issue in the back half of his career.

M Nights dialogue has always been shite. Even in his early stuff. Everyone passed it off as “cryptic” and said he did that on purpose. But no. It’s just shitty. He had a couple of really good ideas though and then he had a lot of bad ones.

And Split only worked because of James McAvoy who is a phenomenal actor. And Anya. It had two actors in it that made it good. And the shock at the end kind of brought us back to old M Night and I think it made everybody a little excited. Then Glass came out and everybody remembered who were dealing with.

M Night has always been a hack, guys. And once he ran out of good ideas, it was over.

The Village is very underrated. I like it better than Signs.
