I need to rewatch it. I've only seen it once.

Carpenter was making movies in the 70s. Isn't that like when movies started being made??

I hate Tarantino and from all accounts it seems like he's a giant douche as well.

OP, to say you like the movies you listed, but not RD or Pulp, is very strange.

No kidding. I like all of his films - although I'm not terribly fond of Jackie Brown or Death Proof.

I'm not a QT fanboy. I'm a huge fan of Reservoir Dogs, True Romance and Pulp Fiction. That is where I part ways

Django would've been interesting if it had been an hour (and i don't mean the first hour, just taking the best parts). it made me want to shoot myself in a hyperbolic self-loathing kill-whitey moment.

None of his movies stand out as really great to me but they're all very good and he has a certain style to his work despite the criticisms rightfully or wrongfully of his 'borrowing'.

What I'm really a fan of is is his movie IQ and film criticism. I love listening to him talk about movies.

Pretty much the single most overrated director and writer in Hollywood. He writes good dialogue. That's it. Reservoir Dogs is a fricking mess. So is Pulp Fiction. His movies are somewhat entertaining, but they really are almost always a mess of a plotline and are pretty much just Tarantino masturbating on screen. I give him credit for making the movies he wants to make without compromising for critics or fans, but I think he's terrible.

He's okay in small doses. I liked Pulp Fiction for the most part. Not crazy about the rest of his work.

My pet theory about his fascination with violence: He was too much of a pussy to ever have a fight as a kid and he's been obsessed with it ever since.

Pulp Fiction is probably my favorite movie. Reservoir dogs, IB, And Jackie Brown are great. I hated the kill bills. Django was a little underwhelming, it wasn't bad by any means but I hyped it up too much in my own mind

This pretty much sums up my thoughts on his movies as well

Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs are, like I said earlier, objectively great movies.

He's hit or miss. Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Django Unchained all great. Not really fans of the others.

I like some of his movies but watching him in interviews is painful.

Not superfan, but I do think he has talent, and I like some of his movies. Pulp Fiction, by far, is his crowning achievement, imo. I liked Reservoir Dogs . . . to a point . . . and I liked Jackie Brown a lot. Hated the Kill Bill movies. Enjoyed Inglorious Bastards (erds). And, believe it or not, I haven't seen Django although I will soon.

His writing of dialogue can be terrific although he gets a bit too cute and self-conscious about it at times.

For me it's one of those movies that I can understand why people like it and I even feel like I should like it as well, but I just didn't for some reason. I think I lost interest in the plot after a while
