Been watching since the first episode when flying wild Alaska ended.
It’s probably my favorite program now. Since I have been watching every episode since the beginning I know all of the characters so I guess it’s like my soap opera.
I really get a kick out of how they can change a transmission in a D10 caterpillar in one afternoon.
In the dirt.

Mitch is awesome but I think Carl wins the bush mechanic award. Dude is keeping Rick in the game.

Yes. It has to be super expensive to keep all that equipment running is what usually comes to mind for me. I just wish beets spoke english so they didn't have to subtitle him.

And the new team of veterans, I want them to succeed.

Of course, I also think 90% of it is staged for the cameras.

watch every episode, but i fast forward through the oregon crew this year. They annoy me.

Tony Beets is awesome.

Its crazy the evolution of parker when you think back at it.

Not anymore. They tear up all that ground for those fine flakes of gold. It would be more exciting if they found real nuggets. But I think those are mostly found already. On the plus side, I think they reclaim those areas when they are done.

It got boring a few seasons ago, and Parker is an ugly a-hole.

Not sure why but I still like to watch it and Deadliest Catch. I'm surprised to see several people say they like Beets I can't stand him. My question is these guys make a ton of money yet they don't get a nicer trailer. I don't expect the Taj Mahal but don't they live on site? I like how at the end of each episode they count the gold for the week. I wish they would also show what their running cost/profit was. How much in running costs, maintenance for all the machinery.

Love the show. Watch it every week. The veterans are totally clueless and I hate watching them. I fast forward through their story. I wasn't a fan of Todd and his crew, I'm glad that experiment is over. Interesting to see Parker in Australia over the summer months. That heat looked brutal, but the gold was there.

Agreed. He bit off way more than he could chew.

Gold Rush White Water has been enjoyable this season. I didn't care too much for it in the past.

A D11 dozer runs anywhere from 11-18 gallons of diesel p/h.

700 excavator 10-14 gph

Rock Truck 10-30 gph

Generally speaking fuel is 50% of your operating costs. You can go from there.

The frequent disasters and fights among Todd's crew made it more interesting IMO. Parker just seems like a nasty little shite. I guess he just rubs me the wrong way.

I tried the White Water one for a little while, but I can't stand the old dude with the stacked shoe. I like his son alright, but the dad just seems like he doesn't give a shite about anyone but himself.

Beets was entertaining for a season or two, and the dredge was interesting. After a while, it's just the same old cursing and "get back to work" crap over and over again though.

I like the treasure hunting shows more now.

Wonder if they still use the fuel truck
idea that the consultant came up with for Parker.

Love the program. Watched from the beginning. The Dave Turin shows are good. Watching now about their great friend Jesse Goins. He was a good guy. RIP
