It's a reason I don't put Friends (as popular as it was) into any Top X list for me. All the formulaic, repetitive space.
I don't hate Friends though, same as I don't dislike the predecessors.

It always bugged me. If the Howells were so rich why would they be on that puny arse boat with the other folks. They would have charters a true yacht for just themselves.

Hey, It's not the professor's fault that dumb arse Gilligan kept the cover on that glue that caused it to explode and cover them with glue, and get covered with feathers when they chased him into the hut. The professor got that satellite working to take those pictures and broadcast it back to NASA

Don't forget the Harlem Globetrotters.
That was one of my main gripes with the movie Castaway. They did a good of capturing the essence of an isolated island but the fact that we never got to see Tom Hanks dunk Wilson on a makeshift goal against a plane wrecked basketball team of funny black dudes was a huge miss for that movie.
