The scene where Adams meets King George was terrific.

Sideways is a top five all-time movie with me as well.
Top five for me too. I can't even count how many times I've seen it because it's like Goodfellas to me, every single time it's on I stop and watch it

Same here. If you ever get the chance go to Santa Barbara county and do the movie winery tour and eat at the Hitching Post and Los Olivos restaurants.

thought it started off incredible but kind of waned towards the end.
Wow kind of a profound comment on America itself lol

I didn't realize unil this series how integral Samuel Adams was to the early revolution/protests. He had major balls.
I've been told the mini-series Sons of Liberty details Samuel's contibutions in detail. I've been meaning to watch it.

It is that time of year, the annual rewatch has begun.
One of the best television series period. Should be mandatory viewing in schools.

It is a great book. As a companion, I would highly recommend reading 1775:A Good Year for Revolution by Kevin Phillips as well. I have read a shelf full of books on the subject and that book is the most informative regarding the motivations behind the revolution that I have ever encountered.

Reminder that mentioning that John Adams dies at the end will get you suspensed from Tigerdroppings for spoiling it.

I need to stop procrastinating and read his Washington bio.
You are thinking of Ron Chernow's biography I think. You should read it. It's amazing history.

Great miniseries. A little difficult to digest in one sitting.

I encourage you to read a history book.

I just finished the series . . . again.
Magnificent.
It is amazing what this medium can do when it really cares about the subject matter and employs some the finest (and smartest - look up the educational backgrounds of those involved) actors and writers to complete the task.
