Yeah 2 of my top 4 favorites didn't make it either.

Kinda disappointed.

Has Katy stopped sexually assaulting the contestants? I know it was just a kiss, but if she were a dude her career would be over!

He may be the best musically, I would not argue that. He is just a boring old man though.

yea, they have worn me down with the constant beating of the stories. I know they need them at times but you dont have to talk and show them every time they perform

Surprised Thadious didnt make it but some of the freaks did. Well, Im really not surprised. Its is TV

These judges fricking suck.

They’re really taking away from the show.

I'm not a big fan of the judges either.

I also assume the producers must have a lot of say in who advances to the top 24... some of the choices are confusing to say the least.

Thaddeus getting cut was the most surprising... makes me wonder if production dug up something in a background check that they didn't want getting out later? If they cut him just based on performance then it's pretty inexcusable.

On a bright note though, the drag queen's version of Creep is one of the best things I've ever heard on one of these shows. That was amazing.

And the ratings for the show haven't been good enough to justify the insane amount of money they're paying Katie Perry, Luke and Lionell (combined $59 million w/ seacrest)

I haven't watched all the shows, but the judges have been pretty boring on the ones I've seen. Maybe they'll get better when it goes live.

I'm really enjoying the coaches on The Voice. They mesh well and they're funny when they interact. Kelly Clarkson is a great addition.

There's a new feature during the Battles in which each judge can save one of their own team. I like it because they end up having to pair two good singers and have to let one go. They still each have one steal, but some good singers can still go home. The save is a good deal.

The Voice was a good show if you watched the auditions then the live shows. The knock out and battle rounds were terrible TV.

I agree, but this year, they've been better for some reason. Previously, I'd sort of watch them and ff through a lot.

The blonde girl who tries to imitate Carrie Underwood all the time.. like we get it.. you love your dad and he works hard... but she did not deserve to be in over Thaddeus..

If I wanted a tearjerker story constantly about a girl loving her father.. I’d read a Chicken soup for the soul book.

Just catching up some on AI.

They let that really obnoxious girl through but cut way better talent. She had a pretty bad performance too.

Just caught this week's episodes too and I don't get all the fuss over Thaddeus.

He was a good singer but way too gospel in every performance imo. That last performance was kind of everywhere. They have voices like that every season and they rarely make it into the top 5. As is, they already have 5 black guys with big voices plus the drag queen in the top 12 who all have just as much talent and more range imo. Dennis Lorenzo puts Thaddeus to shame.

Lorenzo, Cade, and Johnny Brenns (a serious dark horse contender imo) are my top 3 guys.

Cade is a damn golden rock god and maybe the best guitar player they've ever had on Idol.

Plus, am I the only one that thinks he is Jason Segal's clone from Freaks and Geeks??

Maybe at some point he can do Lady L

My top 3 girls are Jurnee, Alyssa Raghu (Indian girl that lives with dad), and Shannon O Hara.

The girls dark horse is surprisingly Catie Holmes. She's a damn freak but if she would just chill out I think she can really sing. She had a new take on Gaga and if she can stop being a spaz so more people will vote for her I think she's going to give some good performances.

Looking forward to hearing the judges actually critique after live performances and not these weird edited pieces of what they're saying. I think they are all in on the AI spirit and going to be a good panel.

Just my opinion, but the last few rounds I thought the only one better was the drag queen.

And maybe Shannon.

I don't see it... but I would have cut her weeks ago, so what do I know?

I think consistently she has been one of the best of the bunch vocally, and people like that she is weird.

Nah man I can totally understand how lots of people just don’t like her.

I do think though that if you cut out her story segments where she’s spazzing out and just listen to her sing I do think she actually has a ton of talent. That original song she wrote before the three room cut was terrible just because the lyrics were so awkward, even though again she sang it well. I thought it was a mistake for her to sing that at that point and could have gotten cut, but the judges have seen enough of her to know she has potential I think.

But the Gaga song before the final cut was an original take and showed her talent for unique arrangements that will help her going forward.

All opinion for sure, but I think she just needs to mellow out and she’ll get a nice following.

No one else a fan of Johnny?? He’s been a huge surprise to me and the wife and seems to be improving every week. He’s already showing the benefit of the teaching he’s getting. Seems like a cool dude too from a nice family. He really could go far.

He and Garrett will probably end up fighting for similar votes, and I think he’s a better singer, though Garrett is a likable guy too.

Lorenzo and Cade are going to be fun to watch, and Ava obviously is a threat but not one of my favorites. The other poster was right though that version of Creep was great and a very smart song choice.

Can't believe Harper Grace didn't make the top 24.

She was the most ready made artist on the program. Her songwriting is something special.

I thought Jonny Brenns' version of The 1975's Somebody Else showed he has potential

I was shocked by this as well. And I thought he just slayed that song he used for his final performance. I thought he was easily top 10.
