I’m still trying to watch. Is anyone else distracted by the stage with low ceilings?
So far, other than Cade, there have been no stellar performances for me halfway through.

I dont know about stellar but the talent is very good right now..... I was surprised at a few of the cuts but its pretty hard to pick 5 of them to send home

Yeah it’s a good group, although Michelle is at the bottom for me.
Surprised Dominique went home, I liked him. But glad Lorenzo bounced back and had a killer performance tonight. He is going far.
Cade, Lorenzo, Johnny, and Catie are the top dogs in this group imo. Woodward probably makes top 10 but I honestly don’t like his voice all that much. Just has a weird accent/delivery to me.

Maddie is SO good. She's not like this blow away singer, but I love her voice. She's gonna do well.

That guy Garrett they picked over Laine was pretty awful tonight. I never liked that decision, but perhaps I am just salty.

No one outside of Jurnee, Cade, and Dennis even matters. Everyone is fighting for 4th place, IMO.

I mean, my wife and I are enjoying it and we never watched the past season much. I think the judges are entertaining and genuine. Their critiques can feel a bit too lenient at times, but they will definitely let contestants know when they're not up to par.
The talent is pretty great, too. This week's 12 isn't as good as the 12 that went through this process last week, but there's still some big voices in there and some potential stars.
I admit that It feels like my me and my wife are the only ones watching, though.

I haven't watched closely, but the judges seem a little soft and I find Katy to be annoying at times.

Just because they're not Simon Cowell and degrading people doesn't mean they're not giving criticism. Lionel just got booed for telling someone to "git gud".
