First episode was pretty slow setting up the relationships. Woody Allen appears to be a pretty sick dude.

You're only just now figuring this out?

Is that the one who had an adopted daughter and when she came of age Mr. Allen left her for that daughter?

The same daughter he helped raise?

I personally put Allen with Polanski in my mind. Don't need to see his films. Don't care about him.

Mia adopted a bunch of kids. He was fixated on one of the little blond girls Dylan when she was toddler age. The doc portrays him as almost obsessed with her. Then Mia finds pornographic pics in Woody’s apartment of Soon Yi who was college aged at the time. That was episode 1. I wasn’t aware of the fixation on the young adopted daughter just the relationship with Soon Yi.

And people in NY fall all over themselves for this sicko.

I was unaware of how nieve (or maybe just plain dumb) Farrow was until I saw the episode. Woody is a pedo who is getting what he deserves. Cancel culture is about to hit him for a second time.

Everybody in America knew he was a weirdo pervert. She was washed up and thought he could revive her dying career. I guess the risk was worth it to her.

The Senate Majority Leader is a more creepy version of Woody Allen.

Always thought he was the most overrated director and never understood what people see in his films.

If someone spends decades, through their movies, telling you they are a creepy old man who has a fixation on young women (some of whom may be underage) then perhaps it is time to take him at his word.

As for Mia Farrow... well it is pretty well accepted that she is a very gifted actress who is perhaps off in her own little happy space more often than not. She is the sort to miss this sort of thing, not through malice, but through sheer kookiness.

While I applaud the sentiment, does that mean you've never seen the Pianist, or Chinatown?

The only way that Woody Allen and Albert Brooks would be "overrated directors" is if someone said they were the best directors ever.

Crimes (Allen) and politics (Brooks) aside, they're both amazing, funny directors. Boycott for your personal reasons, but don't think for a second that these guys didn't put out great films.

A third time.

The initial accusations wave.

The second wave when #metoo first became a thing, and Amazon dumped Allen and he sued and won $68 Million for their cancelling his film deal.

This will be the third. And it's definitely coming.

Woody Allen wrote a movie --Hannah and Her Sisters-- about a fictional version of Mia Farrow where (1) her husband cheats on her with one of her sisters for a year before quite clearly settling for a boring unhappy marriage and (2) her ex-husband marries her other sister and gets her pregnant after infertility problems ruined his marriage to Hannah.

It was a 2 hour cinematic hate-frick of a naive, ignorant wife being cuckholded by her own family and watching them be rewarded with successes in place of her every failure.

Who did he cast as this fictional stand-in for a "romanticized" (his words) Mia Farrow? The actual Mia Farrow, who he had been in a relationship with for almost 10 years. Who did he cast as the ex-husband with miracle sperm that married her sister? Himself.

It's so fricked up.

I know Ronan is supposed to Woody Allen's son, but it is rumored that Mia continued to have a life long affair with her ex Frank Sinatra until his death.

Honestly - Who does Ronan resemble

If anyone came away after watching Manhattan and said, 'yeah, that Woody, he's a real normal guy', then you needed your head examined.

How many times did he have to write pedo storylines in movies before people caught on that he may just be one sick dude. The entire premise of Manhattan, which many critics say is his best film, revolves around a 40-something who is torn between his 14-year-old public girlfriend and Diane Keaton.

Yep, nothing wrong with that!

That's a good summary.

This show intrigues me because we know about Allen and Soon Yi. And are now hearing the details of his fixation on Dylan.

3 more episodes to come.

I’ve never been crazy about his movies except . . . Midnight in Paris is in my top 10 favorites all-time.

Fabulous movie. I can’t walk away from it if on - the soundtrack is amazing as well.

I play that soundtrack and Radio Days constantly.

I think Allen put Owen Wilson in as himself, both due to his advanced age and low public standing. Which benefited the movie greatly. Wilson plays a great neurotic dreamer. And the nostalgia message hits home with any artist or lover of the arts.

This is was the biggest surprise to me in episode one. She seems pretty weak minded, which is probably why he targeted her.
