love it, those complaining about woke diversity are hilarious. this set in a SE asian mega city in the future. are you surprised minorities are present?
Huh?
Who said anything about that?
*Seriously, name them. I know I’m not in that group, and I’m not scrolling through 7 pages to find them.
Bad writing can be just bad.

Morrow is a cyborg.
Kirsh is a synth
The kids in adult bodies are hybrids.

In FX's "Alien: Earth", the show explores three distinct paths to achieving immortality: cyborgs, synths, and hybrids. Cyborgs are cybernetically enhanced humans, while synths are artificial beings with artificial intelligence. Hybrids, a newer technology, are synthetic bodies containing the consciousness of a human.

Thanks for the clarification, was going to look that one up. Makes a lot more sense as well with Kirsh.
Was also curious where this takes place in the grand scheme of the Alien movies timeline:

I can’t figure out exactly what Morrow is. He was about to set off a facehugger when Kirsch was there but Kirsch called him a cyborg. He must already be some kind of hybrid already that’s still very human. Human enough to show the egg start opening in his presence before he got the hell out of there.
The scene where he's "downloading" all of the data shows that it's pretty taxing on him physically, versus where the Synths are pretty physically resilient for the most part from what we've seen (sans the extreme circumstance of Wendy with a xenomorph).
Another clue was he mentions having a child and everyone he knew being dead. His cyborg enhancements have extended his life beyond its natural cycle.

I think it’s a combination of the cyborg enhancements extending his life and the effects of cryosleep from the deep space expedition to collect the aliens. Their mission took 65 years.

If you have a pacemaker, you’re technically a cyborg.

Makes sense. I didn't think about the cryosleep factor on that one.
Either way, overall it's an enjoyable show so far. It has some holes, but I've loved the action we've gotten. I think this last episode felt more cohesive and had some solid movement in the overall storyline/character development.
Also, read where someone called Boy Kavalier "Great Value Timothee Chalamet" and now I can't unsee it. The character genuinely gives me the ick though. There's something about him that you just know is going to go all the way off the rails at some point. We should roll a prop bet on which alien kills him in the end.

Remember MTV board. If SKand Madking hate it then it's likely good.

Yeah Resurection and 3 we're so bad. I didn't love the David prequels either.
Still those two are never really right. I'm shocked they are actually watching and not just watching YouTube videos about the media.

The facehuggers being an implantation device for the chest burster makes more sense. I am totally fine with eliminating engineers and David from Canon.

I'm starting a one man campaign for the guy to get cast as the 16th Doctor

One interesting theory I’ve seen is that there are different variations and strains of the xenos.
It could be that some inject black goo to create the xeno and others with a physical small xeno.
Although the small xeno in this last episode is the most believable.
It does sort of really take Romulus’ premise of the goo out of play.

Well in Alien we (in extended version) see Aliens turn people into an egg. But in aliens we see a Queen that lays eggs. In resurection we see live birth.
This showed the zygoye and also confirmed it eats the lung not the stomach or heart.

I didn't like Acolyte. But unlike you I don't just repeat The critical drinker and nerdrotic.

Honestly, at 3 episodes in if they hate it why are they even in this thread?
I don’t care if they don’t like it. I care if they’re going to drag their taints through this thread REEEE REEEing while other folks are just trying to have a show discussion.
