Sabine does not wear Beskar armor in this series, she wears plot armor.
Basically she could wear a paper towel and because the plot needs her not to die, she will not die.

They are opposite of Stormtroopers, they hit the exact spot on the armor the plot needs them to hit.
Were you this uspet when Luke survived after he was clawed across the face and chest by a Wampa's razor sharp claws half a second after it snapped his Tauntaun's neck?
How about when R2D2 took a direct shot to the dome and was fine in the next scene?
Or what about when Leia gets shot and its no big deal the rest of the movie?
Something tells me the answer is no.

I mean, people have an issue with Sabine surviving a lightsaber gut shot but Maul surviving being CUT IN HALF in cool
It is what it is
It is what it is

They are trying to prop up star wars on the backs of Heir to the Empire trilogy minus Luke Skywalker. That triology is a legacy, uncanonized story.
There is a trilogy of large novels written a few years ago that are 100% canon detailing all of Thrawn's history.

How do you know this?
looked like she had on Beskar to me.
quote:
She was literally shot 5 times in the episode last night with no ill effect and ran through with a light saber in episode one with a bit of a burn mark.
i'll be honest, i thought her getting stabbed with a lightsaber like that was dumb considering she seemingly had no ill effect b/c of it. I did not like that.
She was shot in her armor, and correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure she saw the bullets coming and was deflecting them with her arm, like a jedi would.
quote:
That entire fight sequence was for nothing more than to show her girl power. She is going to beat up 5 armored guys on her own after being shot 5 times.
well she wasn't shot, and she's a fricking Mandalorian that's been fighting people her entire life. Yes i expect her to kick these low lifes arse with ease. Have they been fighting a war their entire life like Sabine?
and i didn't see it as girl power. I saw it as her first being a Mandalorian and using those tools to win the fight, and then starting to fall behind and realizing that maybe using her jedi skills might make things easier, which they did. It's showing that maybe she will find that middle ground of using the force as well as her Mandalorian skills to be a better fighter.
The fact that the night sisters said she reeked of jedi was a telling statement earlier in the episode. I think that gave her a lot more confidence than she has ever had in the force.

Have you paid attention to any of these shows? Mandalorian and Boba Fett? The only way they get overwhelmed with blaster fire is when they are surrounded and getting hit repeatedly from multiple angles.
Her body armor can take the shots just fine. And She was actively deflecting the blasts around her head with her wrist armor.

Loved the last two episodes
When Thrawn was introduced all I could think was “blue Elon Musk”

For me it was, “Grand Admiral Stregobor”
He has Thrawn’s mannerisms down, it’s a shame he got so much chubbier over the past decade. Thin Lars Mikkeksen would have been perfect.

He kind of reminded me of the dude who played Data in Star Trek.

Could definitely see that too
The flashback with Anakin in the last episode and the reveal of Thrawn and Ezra in the latest one were just excellent

I enjoyed the little beginning with Ashoka struggling to understand the idea that some choices are the only ones people have. Struggling with the fact that Anakin’s decisions were the ones he had to make. Same with Sabine’s. Nice little insight there.
Also, nice homage to Lucas’s original idea for the sequel trilogy ending.

I am going to quote both Kracka and Kingbob here because combined they make some solid observations that express what I see in the show.
Disclaimer that I have not watched the entire Clone Wars or Rebels series, I only watched the episodes that were suggested as pre-viewing for Ahsoka.
My first into to Ahsoka was in the Mandalorian. I was intrigued by the character and excited to see her in the series. The episodes of CW and Rebels I watched built on that.
The “introduction” to Sabine in this series with her recklessly driving a speeder to avoid the trooper looking for her was PURE CRINGE. Throw that in with Ahsoka specifically telling her not to take the map,
only to have her take the map and lose it, and then “basically” sell out the galaxy “so that she could see her friend”. These are things that are annoying to the viewer.
I thought the first two episodes were kinda meh. The third episode was better though a bit short/filler ish, so I decided to let a few build up before continuing to watch. I enjoyed watching 4-6 in one sitting.
I’m still very mixed on this. On its own merits I don’t think the show is as good as
Andor or seasons 1-2 of The Mandalorian. On the other hand, I am excited for the setup that I feel like the story in building.

Well, to be honest. Ahsoka wasn't a bitch in rebels, like she was in the first few episodes of this series. She fought alongside the crew and everyone for the most part got along. Sabine, for all of her faults wasn't some lonely, pouting emo like she is in this series. She was energetic, brave. Not super reckless like she's being portrayed here. That is my only real issue with Filoni's job here. He created these characters for Rebels, and has brought them into this series. So either it's the writing, or he is trying to turn them into something they aren't. Now in his defense, Ahsoka's trip to the WBW has seemed to turn her back into the version that was in season 4 of rebels.

Sabine strikes me as a flawed character who is designed to not be liked so that she can grow through her struggles and experiences to become likable. Sabine has absolutely not “girl powered” through this season. She loses constantly and has really done nothing but struggle and f$&k up. Ahsoka struggled with her personality and went through a whole arse arc last episode. Hera hasn’t had much of an arc, but she’s been mostly a side character. Ray’s character continues to add layers worth exploring. We just finally met up with Ezra and Thrawn.

Im pretty sure a lot/most of Sabine’s current mind-set stems from events that happened between Rebels and this series.
She isn’t the same anymore. She’s been on her own for a while. Her “found family” is spread apart. Kanan died, Ezra then disappeared. After that Hera and Zeb are busy with New Republic duties. Her first attempts at training with Ahsoka apparently left them both feeling sour.
Also her whole real family is dead too, since the end of Rebels (not the epilogue).

Only Canon because Disney decided they were canon, but a very good decision unless they butcher everything written about Thrawn.

People who saw Rebels know her backstory as well which she has always been haunted by.
She was branded a traitor by her on people including her mother for her part in building weapons for the Empire to be used against her own people.
So I have no issues with her mindset just feel her current arc does not have a good flow.

True, but seriously, what was the point of that action scene other than a girl boss moment?
