I really liked the live action clone wars anikan. That was cool to see him in the outfit in live action.

Hayden has done nothing but kill it since they’ve brought him back. The flashes of him being Vader in this was tactful and well done. Still not sure what his message to Ahsoka was. I guess to be more herself and less like him? And not be tied to the past?

Really enjoyed that episode. Lots of good moments:

- Anakin, in general
- Seeing Anakin in his Clone Wars Armor
- Seeing Clone Wars Ahsoka
- Seeing and hearing Rex
- Finally getting a mention of Kanaan

I wish we could see Ahsoka and Anakin just talk more. I would like to hear Anakin discuss Vader, his fall, his redemption, etc. Ahsoka still seems to carry guilt over his fall, so it would be cool to see them hash that out some.

I’ll be honest, I don’t think I totally got what lesson Anakin was teaching Ahsoka.

Also, noticed the change in her garments after, she is fully rested in the light side now.

Yeah, I felt like there was something to this, as well. We know she still feels (or felt) guilt over Anakin’s fall and it seems like she feared that if she was everything Anakin was, she also had the bad parts of him. He showed her that she could let the bad go. At least, that’s what I’m guessing he was trying to teach her.

I think when she “chose to live” it was her letting go of that guilt. I’ll need to watch it again some of the wording confused me a little.

"I've taught you everything I know, as Kenobi taught me"...

but he hadn't YET. She left him before he became Darth Vader (who she knew of and faced), and he hadn't taught her why. And he hadn't given her the knowledge he learned at the end, when he took Palpatine out and saved Luke.

In this, he finished her teaching. Made her witness what he became, and how he came out the other side. Forced her to do the Luke thing, of both facing him and refusing to strike him down.

In short- Anakin became a soldier; the soldier became Vader. Vader became Anakin again when he stopped being a soldier. Jedi are not soldiers, even for good. He even told her on the battlefield- we're Jedi, we are meant to lead.
When he stopped leading, he became Vader.

Ahsoka had to stop being a soldier, and become a Jedi again.

Has it already been said, but I'm not sure they could find a child actor that looks like Adam Driver more than the one that plays Jacen, but maybe that's just me.

Perfect review... for someone who prefers the sequels over the original storyline.

Great episode.

After seeing some live action clone wars flashback, now I want an Ahsoka-Maul battle flashback

IGN can suck it. That was an amazing episode. Hayden Christensen was so good tonight. Better as Anakin in this episode than in anything he did in the prequels. The potential was always there, he just needed a little age and maturity as an actor and direction. I’m so happy for him to get to be a part of these stories.

I liked him looking around and saying he doesn't recognize this one, and she says the siege of Mandalore... and he says yeah, good work

That little exchange actually tells a lot- Anakin isn't omniscient now, he's still Anakin (at whatever level he's at); and he's not just an imagined mentor, as he's just now commending her on this... if he was just a little voice in her head, he'd have already done that long ago.

Clone Wars live action remake would be so good. They did a good job de-aging Hayden.

Probably be prohibitively expensive to produce with the number of battle scenes and variety of locations.

Ok, so what was Anakin in this? Actually in the WBW, force ghost, hallucination? I’m confused.

Some type of Force projection from Ashoka’s mind is my best guess

Live action Rebels AND Clone Wars all in one!

The flashes between Anakin and Vader were incredibly well done. It was so awesome to finally see Hayden playing TCW Anakin - armor, snarkiness, and all - in live action. His redemption has to be one of my favorite things as a Star Wars fan.

Something that really rang true here with the child actor that never quite did even in TCW is that Ahsoka was truly just a child soldier during that time. Such a harrowing life she’s led. And still she’s become Ahsoka the White. Such an amazing character arc.
