I feel you op. What i hate the most is the obnoxious thumb nails with ugly people and their fake goofy facial expressions . And also the embedded ads that I cant auto skip

Too many things described as ‘crazy’ or ‘insane’
Too many jump cuts and scenes that last 1 second or less.
Too many and too loud sound effects.
It’s now become all about “content” rather than just cool/funny/informative videos.
I have shite pop up sometimes that I know I’ve never watched before and am not interested in. And a ton of the “shorts” instead of normal videos.
I also hate the new layout where the videos are gigantic and not smaller thumbnails anymore. Used to be you could see tons of videos at one time to choose from without having to scroll, and now it’s only like 3 at a time. And last time I checked there was no way to change the layout and fix that.
It seems like it’s changed a ton in the last several years, and for the worse.

Agreed. Used to be on YouTube ALL the time but now everything is so faked, even the reactions. It’s all so fricking sad

I can't stand the videos where some idiot spends way too much time talking about a five minute source video. I'll just watch the source and avoid the 55 minutes of over-hyped outrage. The video in the car thing also irritates me. I use YouTube for music and that's about it.

The ones that do movie news are the worst with click bait shite
“Marvel has Avengers doomsday announcement “ and then it’s followed up with “according to some guy on Reddit “

This is what I mean about content. It’s difficult to just find the raw video of something. All you can find is videos of some douchebag talking about it and trying to walk you through the video. I just want to watch the clip and move on. I don’t need ten minutes of exposition from some random on YT for a 30 second clip.

Red Letter Media is hilarious if you like movies

I watch a few poker Vlogs and music videos
So much of YouTube is just nonsense with people yapping away. Don’t care for any of that

You're not watching the right channels then. Epic History TV, World War Two, The Great War, Invicta, HistoryMarche, Real Time History, TimeGhost History, Battle Guide, and House of History are just a number of the channels that I'm subscribed to. They are hosted by real human beings with very good presentations.

Thanks. I just looked at that one and could only made it 10 seconds.
The first 10/20 seconds of most videos are teasers. You realize most of his videos are over 30m long right?

Yeah, a lot of times it's real hard to find just the video. I don't need the raw video filtered through whatever bias the loud jackass has and I don't want to hunt through 30 minutes of ranting. I do watch music reaction videos sometimes. I find some of those YouTubers entertaining.

Are those the ones that the people pretend that they haven't heard them before?

Check out RobWords
He shows you how English words have developed over time.
Yes he makes stupid faces in his thumbnails but everyone does that now b/c for whatever reason people click on those kinds of pictures more.

Yes. I enjoy some of those but when it’s super obvious they’re full of shite I tune out. I did watch a group of kids from ULL several years ago. They were cool but eventually got way too into “reacting” to politics.
The only reaction channel I watch these days is Black Pegasus. He seems cool and is fairly honest about not having seen or heard shite before. I discovered Harry Mack on his channel actually, and am glad I did.
