Many who live in America today would not enjoy the movie. They prefer the Russians/Putins over the Wolverines.

I remember seeing it in theater and leaving and looking up outside to see if paratroopers were dropping in.

I think I was 10 when it came out. Parents refused to let me see it.

I like Red Dawn but it'll take a miracle for any war movie to overcome Saving Private Ryan in my mind.

Saving Private Ryan
I wish Tom Sizemore could have kept his shite together.

He was solid in that film plus in Blackhawk Down. He had more to give but squandered opportunities.

I appreciated that is was bleak, and outside of the Cuban officer letting them get away, remained that way.

I want a remake where the Wolverines fight a tyrannical American Government.

The FBI running the camps and CIA making the kid swallow the tracker would be good.

My personal favorite is Gallipoli. The Big Red One is also up there, as is SPR, The Great Escape and Victory.

You’d better be talking about the original from the 80s, because that remake was absolute dog shite.
