FTFY and RIP. She was pretty much doomed from the beginning.
LOL.She said she grew her pinky fingernail extra long during Star Wars...was easier to do coke on set. She didn't have to go back to her trailer.

this always interested me on account of Jason Mewes' drug usage...(Jay & Silent Bob)
He had to essentially disassociate from Mewes for a while in an effort to help him get his shite together. He was supposed to be in Jersey Girl playing Jason Biggs role but had to go to rehab instead.

I don't think he was on drugs. He's just a weird guy. This is around the time he was getting into the whole sovereign citizen thing

I suspect in 1987 it was more than that. He had a lot of fun. The party he had was epic. I was always amazed that BRPD did not shut it down. A lot of the cast was there. Goodman was out of hand....and a very fat slob.....sweaty. I remember seeing Jessica Lange there, she might have been the most sober person there and she looks nothing like she does on the screen. Skinny like a rail and at least at that time I remember that she smoked like a chimney . Timothy Hutton was passed out. Quaid partied like a professional, he was out of hand. Everything and anything you wanted that night was available, if you didn't feel like paying for it, no problem, someone had extra. It was the 80's.........

Carrie Fisher was supposed to have been pretty high during Star Wars filming
I think she One time admitted Harrison Ford snorted coke off her filming one of the 2 sequels. Just coincidence that the person who got fat and ugly gets tagged for drug use.

Basically everyone on the set of the Blues Brothers.
quote:
we had a budget in the movie for cocaine for night shoots,” Dan Aykroyd
quote:
Everyone did it, including me. Never to excess, and not ever to where I wanted to buy it or have it. [But] John, he just loved what it did. It sort of brought him alive at night—that superpower feeling where you start to talk and converse and figure you can solve all the world’s problems.
quote:
Zeman recounts how, one night at three ?.?. while filming on a deserted lot in Harvey, Illinois, Belushi disappeared, which was not uncommon. On a hunch, Aykroyd followed a grassy path until he spied a house with a light on. “Uh, we’re shooting a film over here,” Aykroyd says he told the homeowner. “We’re looking for one of our actors.” The man replied, “Oh, you mean Belushi? He came in here an hour ago and raided my fridge. He’s asleep on my couch.” Aykroyd didn’t call Belushi “America’s Guest” for no reason. He awoke Belushi, saying, “We have to go back to work.” The two walked back to the set as if nothing had happened.

Studios were far more tolerant of drugs and alcohol in the 70's,80's and 90's and many actors were continually hired with known drug problems and studios just looked the other way.
Supposedly cocaine for Belushi was a budget item for The Blues Brothers

1941 was even worse.Belushi was such box office gold by then that the studios were all too happy to cave in to virtually any demand he had.
The movie was a complete cluster frick.

Pretty much everyone in Dazed and Confused.
Billy Bob Thornton in Bad Santa.
Robert Shaw in Jaws.
Jason Mewes in Clerks. He was either high or drunk.
Fred Astaire in Holiday Inn. He supposedly drank 8 shots of bourbon while filming his drunk dance.
Spencer Tracey in Guess who’s Coming to Dinner. He was usually wasted by Lunchtime.
Peter O,Toole in Lawrence of Arabia. Got hammered before the camel ride on the Turks.
Rebecca Romijin in X-men. Supposedly she got blitzed the last day of filming and threw up blue vomit all over Hugh Jackman. Her body had absorbed the blue dye from her Mystique character.
Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now. Got Hammered and punched a mirror which actually cut his hand.
Richard Burton in almost anything he was in. He was known to drink 3 to 4 bottles of Vodka a day.

Well then .... it sure doesn't make sense. Because they did not get hammered at that party and at that party almost everyone got hammered.
There were a ton of drugs there. Gallons of good booze everywhere. And Meg Ryan was googly eyed over Quaid like a school girl with a crush. I kept looking over at her when they were shooting that swing set scene and and she was like a high school cheerleader with her hands clasped and under her chin and her elbows up close to her .... and she was hanging on every take in that scene which took half a day (at least the second half when I was there) to get.
She was cute as a button.
I never saw Everybody's All American so it is inconsequential to the timeline as far as I am concerned.
I know what I saw.
When Jerry Lee came driving up and rammed his wife's car there at Kenny Roger's, Dennis Quaid grabbed Meg Ryan by the hand and they took off with some guy with light brown hair wearing a tan members only jacket in a full sized dark blue and beige Ford Bronco that was a loaner from Gene Reed Ford on Elvis Presley. I think they were staying at the Peabody because another friend saw them there the next day with Jeff Goldblum and Gina Davis.
ETA: You know what, nevermind. It doesn't matter.

Read an article years ago where Dan Akroyd said whole filming Blues Brothers he and Belushi would snort piles of cocaine and drink heavily. Carrie Fisher was doing same thing as well with them.

He had only been in 3 live action movies up to that point and only Animal House was a big success.

Robert Shaw was drunk off his arse in the Indianapolis scene in "Jaws".
partially true. the first take of the scene Shaw was drunk out of his mind and blacked out. He didn't remember filming the scene and called Spielberg and asked to re-shoot. They reshot the next day when he was sober. What you see on film is the sober version.
