That should not shock anyone.

The latter is more likely - they'd already picked a spot for the division. All I'll say is that it would end season 3 on a particuarly heartless cliffhanger.
Yeah, I bet it was a big debate on what it is.
It isn't like it isn't painfully obvious exactly where season 3 would end if they split it.

Watching last night's episode, does anyone think we will see Master Syrio again?

I have a random question. I finished the first book awhile before the series began but im only 150 pages into a Clash of Kings. First off that sorceress seems like a baad bitch. Anyway my question is about the guy Ned sends after the Mountain. I saw reference to him in this book ans it seems like he is basically playing Robin Hood and fricking shite up. Please tell me he plays a bigger role or at least gets some more story time rather than just having him mentioned in passing.

For the most part his storyline takes place off stage but its still pretty big. Berric Dondarrion is yet another badass; quite a few running around.
There's another guy with Dondarrion's group, Thoros of Myr. He's another red priest just like the chick in the prologue but as the story begins he's more of a drunk. (Naturally a good buddy of Robert's.)

Shiner's reply sums it up nicely.

Good question! I may be reading too much into it, but it is odd that the only episode written by the author, makes a point of leaving Syrio's fate un-resolved just like it does in the book.

I don't think we have seen the last of him. I was wondering if they were going to clear it up for us last night like they did when Arya heard the two guys in the shadows. But the guy syrio fought last was in the throne room at the end...

True, but Syrio didn't seem too intent on kiliing the men he fought, just defeating them, so.......

Yep probably just knocked him out and met up with Barristan on the way out haha.

Have you heard of the speculation (I don't think we could call it even rumor) that Syrio was a Faceless Man? Much like Jaqen H'ghar. I don't buy it, I think them having the same accent kinda spurs that thought.

That was a rumor? I always assumed that was the case lol, never thought otherwise.

Not sure there is enough evidence/foreshadowing yet to make the case. Kind of a fun thought though.

It's a pretty popular theory given how much both of them help Arya and how Syrio's fate is left up in the air. Actually, the theory is that they are the same person.
On another note, the first ADwD review (that I've heard of) is up.
Could be spoilerish

yeah I posted that review on the previous page
The idea that Syrio was really a faceless man somewhat fits, because you don't see his body, after Ser Trant of the Kingsguard fights him he could have been sent to the black cells. While in the black cells he might have transformed into Jaquen, there is a reason bad arse utterly mean characters such as Biter and Rorgue were afraid of him.
The one thing this show did which the book never did, is that Syrio mentioned a line the faceless men and Jaquen told Arya, which I felt was either off base or spoilerish.
