More than that - a highly competent woman boss who manages great things despite her team of goofy losers led by a lovable trans man. There an evil Dwight character who is basically just Dwight again.
Greg Daniels was also the co-creator of Parks. Leslie Knope was a good hearted numb-nut.
Do you not think Parks had both strong male and female characters? Ron Swanson?!?
Daniels also wrote on Simpsons (a bit later, S5 or so, but his episodes were good). Dude co-created KOTH with Judge.
The Office is not my favorite show btw, but it's almost universally accepted as good stuff.
Luckily we have M/TV to tell us Scorsese sucks, Daniels sucks and we get a whole bunch of who is watching this reality show now? What are you watching now, Naked and Dating?

Given that seasons 6+ were bad and 9 was unwatchable, I can't wait to see what a mess they make of this.
Totally agree with the guy that said the strike was the best thing to happen to hollywood. I watch Cheers and Sopranos reruns when I'm falling asleep and otherwise I get outside and spend time with others.
