Well damn. there goes my shocking theory.

I wonder how Jon will take the news in the book, he might become pretty pissed at Ned for hiding his true heritage...
I remember in book 1(and the series) that as Jon was leaving for the wall Ned promised to reveal his mother the next time they were together. So Jon would not be as pissed at Ned as may otherwise if he found out when Ned was still alive.
I'm surprised that it was never(I don't recall at least) mentioned in Jon's POV that the identity of his mother died with Ned.

According to westeros.org I am exactly right Tyrion was born 273 AL and Jon was born 283 AL

But Jon dies under the bleeding star (the knight who Wun Wun bashes to death has stars as his sigil), his wounds are smoking from the cold, and there is salt from at least one of his killer's tears. Of course he would have to wake dragons from stone after being born again.
This is the best evidence of Jon as AA. Ok here is my outlandish theory:
Jon is reborn as Azor Ahai and it is revealed to him about his true heritage, as well as his destiny as the Prince that was Promised. I expect Dragonstone to be the place where Jon and Dany meet as she will return to her place of birth and the ancestral seat of her family. Jon travels to Dragonstone and is able to hatch the dragon eggs that have been there since before the initial dance of dragons. I expect Dany to also be in possession of a certain Dragon Horn. As Azor Ahai, I believe Jon will have the power to survive blowing the horn as well as commanding the dragons he awakens. Around this time, a certain army of White Walkers will have broken through the Wall and be wreaking havoc on the North. Jon and Dany will then lead the Dragons on a killing spree of Others thus saving the realm from certain doom. Now of course there are many other players to consider that will have to be dealt with before any of this goes down. But this is my extremely simplified way of seeing the series ending.

This is my problem with the above prophecy. It is given as a response to Dany's question of when Khal Drogo will return to his former self. In reality, I don't think this was even an actual prophecy. I think Mirri was just basically saying the equivalent of he will come back when hell freezes over. Khal Drogo isn't coming back. The only way this is a prophecy is if it a loose one that is referring when things will return to normal for Dany, being able to bear a child again, and she will find another that can convince her it's a good idea to eat horse hearts and stuff.

and Jon (assuming that R+L=J is correct) is the only merging of Ice and Fire in the series
I've never thought about this before but it seems so obvious now. Ned would never cheat

Another thing, know I'm rambling here but I get like this once I start with aSoIaF, Does anyone think Jon will find Lightbringer at the Tower of Joy? I have a feeling he will return here looking for answers at some point. I also feel he will give Longclaw to Jorah once they meet up. (Hope Jorah is a survivor in this series, he's one of my favorites) So Jon will then be in need of a sword and as AA he will in fact need Lightbringer.

I personally don't think Lightbringer is an actual sword. I think it's a metaphor for something. Not sure what though.

(is there any doubt Asha is going to try to save him when they go to excute him at the weirwood?
Discussion is far past this but all I could think was: was there any doubt that Arya was going to find a way to save Ned when they tried to execute him? Remember who we're dealing with here. The next words he wrote were probably "and his head rolls to his sister's feet"
I love reading about all these theories.

One thing that worries me is that the Horn of Joramun is on its way to the Citadel, and who knows what the Maesters are planning.

Could Jorah be the one who helps her "bear" a child?

They are probably the most interesting players in the Games as they are the most mysterious. They have been extremely quiet throughout, but it is obvious they are a very calculating people who already had a role in one Dance of Dragons.

I really hope Jon and Dany don't end up together because I can't stand Dany. Hopefully, the Lightbringer prophecy comes to fruition by Jon stabbing Dany through the heart.

That would mean they get together. Lightbringer is forged through the sacrifice of a love.

I'm in this group as well. I'm not a big fan of aunt and nephew hooking up. Dany can be Nissa Nissa

Because I don't want to see incest in a fantasy series

I meant end up together. My biggest complaint with Dany is talking about taking what is rightfully hers then stealing shite from all these people. She's basically becoming a Usurper all over Essos.
