The Wildling Princess, Dalla's sister and wife of Mance Rayder. She brought Tormund Giantbane to Jon when she rode out pretty bravely to find him beyond the wall. I think Jon is a little smitten or at least respects her. She seems to be a bit more than what she's portrayed as IMO.

Yeah, I remember her now. Like someone else said though, her being married to Mance causes problems.

Just to fix some confusion, Val is not Mance's wife. Val is the sister of Mance's wife, who died in childbirth.
Val was actually with Jarl, one of the guys that went south of the wall with Jon, Ygritte, and Styr. Jarl wound up falling to his death climbing the wall.

Agreed. They have good chemistry in the books (at least when Jon lets himself and isn't all hard core commander mode), and she's pretty bad arse in her own right.
And Dany and Jon is just more of the same ugh incest that's all over in the series. Jon needs to stop that Targ tradition.

And I think with Dany, her one true love was Khal Drogo. I can't see anyone ever eclipsing that for her.

They are probably the most interesting players in the Games as they are the most mysterious. They have been extremely quiet throughout, but it is obvious they are a very calculating people who already had a role in one Dance of Dragons.
