but I was a little disappointed in the twat/duncan fight scene…this is the first time we’ve seen Duncan put up his dukes and while he certainly got the best of him, I was wanting a little more arse kicking then we got. I kept expecting Duncan to whip arse when it was 3 on 1. Or at least cause a little more damage

1.25 episodes in and so far it sucks. Not very dark and kind of goofy to be honest. I guess if you like big dicks and man arse it's good. I bet all you baws wives love it.

So this question isnt for me because I knew the spoilers and was looking for little hints the whole time. These are the ones off the top of my head I could remember:
- He was knowledgeable about a ridiculous amount of knights and families (knowing that the one kings guard came from an uber wealthy crabbing family) and how tournaments work.
- Egg said he was from King’s Landing, Dunk just assumed it was flea bottom.
- He called the Lords “lapdogs” to Duncan, so he obviously knows his social hierarchy.
- He tucked tail and ran anytime another Targ showed up (getting off Dunk’s shoulders during the first night of the tourney, telling Dunk he wanted to go back to their camp when he saw them riding across the bridge) because he didn’t want to get caught.
- Not giving a shite that Dunk tossed him a coin in episode 1 because obviously he’s rich.

Because I said it's not dark? Just like the party scene, there is nothing serious about the acting or anything going on. Feels more like a lame version of Lord of the Rings instead of GOT.
I'll keep watching but this shite better start getting good before they lose out on my viewership.

Not sure exactly what's considered spoilers in this thread, but if you really want to know, there are a couple wiki's you can look up to see who's who and how they're related. Although as I understand it, the shows might not follow the genealogy of the books exactly.
I read a bunch of stuff about Dunk and Egg before I ever knew there was going to be a TV show, because I kept seeing them referenced in GoT discussions over the years when people were still hoping there would be an adaptation.
It didn't occur to me until reading this thread and one other board that some people really didn't know who Egg was. There was a lot of discussion about it when Maester Aemon died in GoT. "Egg, I dreamed I was old. "

Something I was thinking about is why would the brother care what Egg thought? Wouldn’t he just kick Dunks teeth in regardless?

I don’t think it’s ever made explicit but my guess is
1) It was the household guards that let Dunk loose. And they would listen to him and the threat of his father. If Egg’s brother had told him to ignore Egg’s orders who knows? But that leads me to my second point:
2) The surprise of Egg’s reveal - even to his brother who had thought he was missing - and that haircut insult would’ve taken his attention away from immediately retaliating against Dunk.

the bodyguards do care though. They have to listen to the princes. Twatwaffle could have tried it himself though, which would have ended badly for him I imagine

Well, his mom is a Dayne and they have had a lot of dark haired people as well as some two-tones, so maybe not all Targs.

I need closed captioning to catch some of the lines, but he asks Dunk if it's odd that he's getting black hairs on his stones. Dunk says it's odd to talk about it.
