This movie was a complete waste of time…3 different vantage points in one story and no conclusion…what kind of crap was this????

Just finished it. Agreed. What a disappointment.

This movie was such bullshite. It felt like the two hour premiere for a great new tv series but they forgot they were only making a movie so we get no ending because frick the audience.

Typical shite from Hollywood these days. Stupid woke shite.
Should have known. What a waste of time

This sucked. 2 hrs if blue balls. The first act was tense and taught.
And then they just kept repeating the same plot from a diff POV over and over again. Also made the US look incredibly stupid.

I knew this movie was directed by a woman before I knew it was directed by a woman.
Best line of the movie though "Why does she get to go?"

Ironically, historians agree that nuclear weapons have made the world safer for the last several decades.

The big reveal in act 3 was POTUS was black. I swear they were trying to make him sound like Trump at first.

Finally finished it last night -
- I expected the cliffhanger from the outset, so no issue with it personally
- I thought despite having a decent cast the performances weren't great. Seemed rushed.
- The topic is interesting so it was worth the watch even if I didn't think it was very well done.
- Obviously she didn't invent the topic, but the timing/parallel to Annie Jacobson's "Nuclear War" was pretty crazy. It's almost like it was trying to capitalize on the book and beat Nuclear War (the movie) to market. I doubt that actually happened, but mighty coincidental.
I hope Nuclear War gets made, but I have my doubts.

The movie is fine for what it's trying to do: illustrate how quickly things can get crazy. Not sure how you could market it better, but obviously the marketing left people disappointed. I'm surprised they let a Black president get overwhelmed by the pressure. I was expecting a Magical Negro to solve the problem. Kathryn Bigelow is a legit director with several hits to her name (Hurt Locker, Point Break).

He even had to call his wife for advice. Like any POTUS would ask his wife.. This movie sucked.

Don’t forget his wife, the First Lady, is on a safari with 1 secret service guy and a couple natives as her security force.

Still waiting for ‘One Second After’ series or movie please
This was a great book and one of my favorites. However I have a bad feeling that Hollywood would find a way to screw this up big time.

Saw it last night. If I have to watch the same 30 minute plot three times, there should at least be a payoff.

array of fumbling & bumbling by key players that’s super annoying to watch.
Agreed the level of emotion showed in the operations center in Alaska was unrealistic. Drama like an episode of 90210 trying to save the Peach-pit.
National Security advisor on her day off at a t-ball game on a weekday morning. "I'm on a personal day ... sorry deal with it" Lol wtf.
The Angel Reese tack was dumb as shite. Tired of these shows trying to check their DEI checkbox at the expense of the story.
"Let's not launch extra interceptors because "we don't want to waste them." Dumb.
Bickering over who gets to go to the continuity bunker.
On finding out that this had a woman director, not surprised about any of the above. It' all makes sense now.
Movie was a DEI dandy.

I want the two hours of my life that I spent watching this back.
Granted, I most likely would not have done anything else constructive with those hours, but that's not the point, dammit!

There are 4-5 pages telling you not to watch it.

Loved this movie so much until it ended. Then I hated it and wished I'd not wasted my 2 hours.
