Here's the complete ballot of all this year's nominees.

It's likely to be one of the most boring and predictable Oscar ceremonies in many years. Gary Oldman, Frances McDormand, Sam Rockwell and Allison Janney have all swept the four major precursor awards for the Oscars (BAFTA, Golden Globe, SAG and Critic's Choice). Guillermo Del Toro has also won all of the major awards and is heavily favored to win Best Director. The only real intrigue tonight lies with Best Picture. It's thought to be a very close two-horse race between The Shape of Water and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Also, Roger Deakins might end up finally breaking his streak (13 nominations without a win!) and get his long overdue Oscar for Best Cinematography.

WINNERS

Best Supporting Actor- Sam Rockwell, “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”

Best Makeup and Hairstyling- “Darkest Hour,” Kazuhiro Tsuji, David Malinowski, Lucy Sibbick

Best Costume Design- “Phantom Thread,” Mark Bridges

Best Documentary Feature- “Icarus,” Bryan Fogel, Dan Cogan

Sound Editing- “Dunkirk,” Alex Gibson, Richard King

Sound Mixing- “Dunkirk,” Mark Weingarten, Gregg Landaker, Gary A. Rizzo

Best Foreign Language Film- “A Fantastic Woman” (Chile)

Best Supporting Actress- Allison Janney, “I, Tonya”

Animated Short Film- “Dear Basketball,” Glen Keane, Kobe Bryant

Animated Feature Film- “Coco,” Lee Unkrich, Darla K. Anderson

Visual Effects- “Blade Runner 2049,” John Nelson, Paul Lambert, Richard R. Hoover, Gerd Nefzer

Film Editing- "Dunkirk", Lee Smith

Documentary Short Subject- “Heaven is a Traffic Jam on the 405,” Frank Stiefel

Live Action Short Film- “The Silent Child,” Chris Overton, Rachel Shenton

Adapted Screenplay- “Call Me by Your Name,” James Ivory

Original Screenplay- “Get Out,” Jordan Peele

Best Cinematography- Blade Runner 2049,” Roger Deakins

Original Score- “The Shape of Water,” Alexandre Desplat

Original Song- “Remember Me” from “Coco,” Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Robert Lopez

Best Director- “The Shape of Water,” Guillermo del Toro

I'm rooting for The Shape of Water tonight. I also wouldn't be disappointed to see Lady Bird or The Big Sick pull off an upset or two.

I'd be fine with Three Billboards cleaning up but I personally thought The Shape of Water was a better movie.

No one cares about the awards anymore.

What do yall think will be tonight's major political themes? We all know how much we need famous Hollywood actors to educate us on morals. That's the only reason I'm watching it

I did read that the topic of the night will be gun control, but also that politics will be kept generally to a minimum as not to detract from the movies.

I agree everything is pretty predictable. I’ll still watch.

Now that we got that out of the way, lets discuss the movies.

The only categories I care about this year are cinematography and director. If Roger Deakens doesn’t win, they need to burn the theater to the ground.

And the Boss Baby being nominated for Best Animated Feature. What a fricking joke.

How about that Editing nom for Baby Driver?

I don't love the movie, but it's nice that the academy looked outside the best picture noms to recognize a film that really employs editing creatively.

Unbelievable that Get Out has a best picture nomination. Good movie, but come on

That and the Post can GTFO. Both Blade Runner 2049 and The Florida Project should have been nominated in their place.

Well, I'm sure most of them (JLaw excepted) know the difference between "then" and "than".

And, by the way, why shouldn't a celebrity/athlete/idiot-on-a-message-board use whatever platform is at his or her disposal to speak on issues about which they feel strongly?

The dumbasses on awards shows are no different than the dumbasses on the Poli Board.

“It’s past time that we as a nation catch up to the rest of the socially progressive countries of the world and enact common sense regulations to stem the tragic and useless bloodshed caused by guns and glorified by the nra.”

“Now, to introduce our next award, the star of John Wick, Keanu Reeves.”

This is the first year where I haven't seen most Best Picture nominees.

I saw Dunkirk and Get Out...

(had zero interest in the other movies)

I guess between Dunkirk and Get Out, I'd give it to Dunkirk just for visuals and experience but the movie takes an amazing true story and makes it flat. Nolan drops the ball. I didn't care for the perspective; it was him telling the audience to stay dispassionate by not letting us get close and personal with any character. Well, what's the point of that? Don't get passionate in a movie? Stay afar...watch it like a viewer slowing his car to see a roadside accident.

Gawk and then move on. That's a recipe for disaster and does not a movie make.
