His assistant said he was grabbing her everywhere and rubbing his boner on her. And he likes to give "underwear hugs".
And she kept being his assistant after the first time this happened?

She asked for overtime. And that he speak clearly into the microphone in her purse.

Seems like that's the least he could have done, what with all the rubbing and what not...

Wow, I didn't realize the snubs were so unbelievable.
But they squeezed in every producer and PR agent they could. Wow.

However, as always, there were quite a few stars who didn't make the televised segment and it rubbed a lot of people online the wrong way. Among the snubs that drew the most ire were actors Powers Boothe, Robert Guillaume, John Hillerman, Adam West, Jim Nabors, John Mahoney, Rose Marie and Jerry Van Dyke.
The segment also left out Poltergiest director Tobe Hooper and director Lewis Gilbert, who directed three films in the James Bond franchise and was even nominated for an Oscar in 1967 for directing Alfie.

Hello darling followers. Please tell me that In Memoriam didn’t omit Dorothy Malone who WON A FREAKING OSCAR. I am old and I just missed it right?
But they squeezed in every producer and PR agent they could. Wow.

It was a spread the wealth Oscars, which I'm always fond of. It's rare you get a dominant THE GODFATHER kind of film, so it is better to mix things up.
And I think they did a good job overall. THREE BILLBOARDS got honored for its superior acting performances and recognition it is close to a stage play. DUNKIRK's signature time framing device got it a well-deserved editing award, plus several other technical Oscars. THE SHAPE OF WATER created a lush, interesting fictional world, so it won Production Design and Director, for its heavy load in visual world building.
And finally, Roger Deakins won an Oscar. That was so great.

Some critics are pissed that Lady Bird was shut out, but with all of the focus on Gerwig, she kind of had her Oscar moment. And I really can't think of a category where her movie was robbed of a trophy.

Metcalf had a case for Supporting Actress but yeah... LADY BIRD is a film of such modest ambition, its hard to be upset that it not be recognized for artistic achievement in areas in almost gleefully ignores. It's not technically a Mumblecore film, but its pretty close, and it tries to use naturalistic sound/light. It's not the ol' Kevin Smith two-shot, but there's not a lot of real camera movement. Really, all it could feasibly win is acting or writing.

Emma Stone is now worse than Hitler because, when she introduced the director category and made light of the fact that the nominees were mostly men (so brave to parrot Natalie Portman), she implicitly minimized the work of the non-white directors.

And because, Teen Vogue.

quote:And the racist white Oscar bitch chimed in.
Emma, who was selected to present the award for Best Director, has since received mixed reactions from people on social media for her introduction for those nominated. As she presented the award, the actress remarked, "These four men and Greta Gerwig created their own masterpieces this year." Greta was nominated in the category alongside Paul Thomas Anderson, Guillermo Del Toro, Christopher Nolan, and Jordan Peele. (Greta is also only the fifth woman to ever be nominated for Best Director; only one woman has won the category in its 90-year history.) It was reminiscent of Natalie Portman's introduction of the same category at the Golden Globes, where she famously stated, "And here are the all-male nominees."
Following her statement, many on Twitter reacted with support, writing: "I love that heat Emma just brought" and "Emma Stone stay calling out the fact that the Best Director category is mostly male." Others called on Twitter not to "attack" the actor, noting how the moment impacted them.
Others were not as thrilled with Emma's decision, remarking that two of the men nominated were minorities and that "Jordan Peele is only the 5th black man" to ever be recognized in the category. One user on Tumblr wrote, "High-key sideeyeing Emma Stone said that that the Best Director nominees are four men and Greta Gerwig. When will white feminists learn that, just because they are not women, doesn’t mean that Jordan Peele and Guillermo Del Toro’s nominations are not as meaningful as Greta Gerwig’s? And what was the first thing that Guillermo Del Toro said in his acceptance speech? He highlighted that he was an immigrant."
quote:YES YOU frickING ARE.
April Reign, the creator of #OscarsSoWhite, also called Emma out on Twitter. She wrote, "I'm not here for the participation trophies & partial credit some are so eager to give out.
And because, Teen Vogue.

As all people who don't identify as straight cisgender white men continue to fight for roles in Hollywood, it's important to remember that progress shouldn't be in silos. Pushing for more diverse talent of all backgrounds and identities is crucial. Hopefully, those hoping for the same end goal for people that look like them can apply this mind-set across the board. And while it's empowering to identify as a feminist, it's vital that your feminism doesn't exclude others.

TCM does a stellar job. TCM Remembers: 2017
Seriously, what the frick? Have they responded with any kind of explanation?

I think the Oscars go telecast to telecast. Moore and Reynolds were saluted last year. TCM goes January to December and updates as people die in December. Oscars still snubbed lots of folks.
Posted on 3/5/18 at 8:18 pm to blueboy
Pretty sure Reynolds and MTM made it in last year.

Gotta love liberals. They hate white America for how racist and sexist it is yet want to crown winners simply for being a woman or minority. Such a stupid group of people to say the least.
