Has this show been any good? Been wanting to watch but want to let a few episodes build up first before a semi binge

There’s only been one ep and it was quite good. And it’s a limited series so you might as well jump in

Really enjoying this show. This show shows a lot of the cracks in the Soviet structure. Nobody spoke truly.

I suppose so, but I think a lot of the tragedy stemmed from the state itself. But I often forget that the USSR of 1986 is nothing like the USSR of Stalin or Lenin.

YES, I AGREE, COMMUNISM IS BAD, SOCIALISM IS A FAILED SYSTEM

still men and women took actions that they knew would cost them their lives to save the lives of worthless communist wives, children and other family and friends and yes even strangers

can you not recognize individual heroic actions despite the political, religious, or other views of the actors?

Of course I can, at what point did I say the individual men and women weren’t heroic?

Harris did a great job showing Prof. James deciding to kill himself the moment he gave that “there’s no problem” toast.

They had to pull helicopter pilots off the Afghan front to help. Way rabbit hole on this, but here’s one on Hinds and other models they used.
