I appreciate him for what he was. He was an intelligent man. He was an above average speaker.

But he was more of a lecturer than a comedian.

How did Dave Chappelle not make so many people's lists? I think he's the funniest comedian of all time (and his approach is way more enjoyable than Carlin's arrogance).

Someone that I have not seen listed once, and I realize not everyone enjoys his humor, but I think Ricky Gervais should be considered. I just watched his most recent stand-up on HBO and almost died, he is hilarious.

Good lists, but 2 names I have not seen are possibly one of the funniest in Eddie Izzard and one of the most overrated in Ron White.
