I guess i misunderstood that part. Where she asked him if he remembered what the day was. I thought she said 18 yrs ago her dad came home and a yr later she was born in 1883.

Eta: that sister! What a world class bitch!

Good to see at least some elements of Hollywood turning away from the old kumbaya BS fantasy of all native Americans being noble peaceful people. Just like white man, had some good and some real bad, and a lot in the middle.

So far I’ve enjoyed it more than Yellowstone as it’s just more believable so far.

All the women are pretty horrible actors though. The accent on the daughter… fricking kill me.

She was 17 in 1883

She was born 1 year after her father returned home from the civil war she said

The boy was 5 in 1883, so born in 1878

The boy is his grandfather and tim is his great grandfather

So if John Jr is 70 that means he was born in 1951. That would make John Sr 73 years old when he was born.

Problem with that is we already saw John Jr have a conversation with his dad when his dad was 90. With the above dates, that would have put John Jr at 17 when that convo took place.

We already had flashback scenes were Josh Lucas playing the “young” John Jr, so the convo on the rock was well past that.

Pretty sure tim is john’s grandfather and the boy is john’s dad Or maybe i’m a generation off

In Yellowstone he mentioned his father was in WW2, so there’s no way the little boy is his father because he would have been over 60 when Japs bombed Pearl Harbor. Unless he were a ranking officer. The boy has to be his grandfather or great grandfather

Right, his grandfather like we are saying

The boy isn’t his father

Well, She has joined her other 7 children. Won't have to listen to her snugness anymore.

I don’t mind her acting in her role. That said, I think she’s an awful narrator—the show would be better off without it.

Tim is average at best; some of it seems very forced at times.

Faith is okay. What’s been said of Tim can equally apply to her.

Sam Elliot and LaMonica Garrett are as solid as oaks. I know this is supposed to be the Dutton family origin story, but they make the show.

Awful.

One thing that makes Julia Garner so good in Ozark is her rural Arky accent. Well delivered and consistent. And she’s a New Yorker.

Jury is still out on if he’s a good guy or if McGraw gets to shoot him in the back.
