Zion will be a better defender for sure.

Offensively, Blake is pretty complete now.

well then how does he?
You're seeing it..

Just be an ultra athletic freak athlete whose game jumps off the screen every time he plays.

I haven't even heard that much discussion on the type of production he'll have in the NBA. It's mostly about him being a star, which he is.

funny bc this is currently Griffin's peak and he gets minimal press compared to when he was younger
bc we know what he is and he's on a crap team. They'll make the East playoffs but are a threat to no one

True. Zion has the highest PER of any major college player in years, including Sophomore Blake.

Griffin is quite a bit taller than Zion. Also for how powerful Griffin was coming out, he was very quick. He could beat larger centers off the dribble and post up the weaker PFs.

Zion is stout and very strong, but he has to hook/push guys quite a bit for separation. It could just be the Duke offense sucks but at same time, the NBA is going to be stronger and faster.

Because if Zion’s build, he has a higher ceiling since he has potential to play on the perimeter and versatility to be a small ball 5. I just don’t think he’ll hit his absolute ceiling. Griffin prior to injuries, was a top 3 MVP candidate.

6 time All Star about to earn his 6th All NBA team berth...

You are essentially asking if Zion is better than a Hall of Famer before he steps on an NBA court.

He’s an exact replica to me. If he really worked in a mid range jumper and hit it consistently he would become elite at the next level. If not, his numbers will be exactly like Griffin’s.

Shaq was a massive freak of nature and played 18 seasons. He did have foot issues due to his size, but it's not like Shaq was trying to eat right and be healthy.

If Zion puts in the work he'll be alright.

Shaquille didn’t jump/dunk like Zion does. If Zion keeps jumping as much as he does, those knees won’t hold up to the 285lb force coming down.

Young, not so fat, Shaq could jump. Shaq had a measured 32” vertical his rookie season. Regardless, a 7’1” 325 lb+ center is going to take plenty of stress to his knees. No Shaq could not jump as high as Zion but he was also A LOT bigger. Shaq also had the highest measured touch reach in NBA pre-draft workouts ever (at the time at least) at 12’5”. To say he couldn’t get up is a farce. Shaq was a freak until he started getting out of shape.

I think he will have similar production but with less injury issues so more valuable in the long run.

This, Griffin is done for the year, again.
It was the most games he has played in a season since '13-'14
