That’s probably a good thing. That could easily turn in to 4 hours of snack time.

That’s not even true man. 285 was Zion’s Duke offseason weight. He was 265 and shredded by the middle of that season. He probably had 6-8% body fat max. Now when he came back from the blown shoe, he was more around 275-280. But that version of Zion was still smaller than he’s ever really been in the NBA.

He was listed at 275 coming out of high school by 247. I don’t think he lost weight at Duke

Meh, he’ll whine and stomp around until they remove it, a la Kyler Murray. No fat shaming allowed.

I think most people even in the media think the clause is a good idea.

He fired his chef/nutritionist (his mother) and his personal trainer (his stepdad) and hired actual high level professionals for these positions. He looks really good right now.

Good for him. I like his game and would like to see him have success. He was eating himself out of the league.
LOL Really, his Moms and Stepdad as chef/nutritionist and personal trainer. LOL I mean his Moms probably gave him all of the home-cooked meals he could eat consisting of pork, beef, pizza, etc., and all of the fast food he wanted to eat when she was tired and didn't feel like cooking. His Stepdad's workout routines probably consisted of running laps around the neighborhood, lifting some weights, and sleeping mostly. shite, I see why he was in such poor shape and got hurt a lot. Smh

Amen to that! You know the part that says "Til death do us part", well, they need to amend it and add "Til fat do us part".

The Pelicans using the Arizona Cardinals method of dealing with the face of the franchise. Not the best example to follow, but it’s the Pelicans.

The sum of his weight and body fat percentage must be below 295. If it is not, the amount of guaranteed money in Williamson’s contract can be reduced.
I don’t understand this combination. If they’re worried about body fat, then why not just focus on body fat? Or if they’re worried about weight (which seems less concerning if it’s not fat), then why not focus on weight?

I’ve never seen any formula that combines these two, at least as a sum of the two. I can’t think of a reason as to why both mathematically and practically. And thinking about I could see some justification for taking the weight times the percentage of fat, or something like that.

I don’t know. This combination, as used, seems random.

I keep waging this battle. All weight is not good weight even if it is muscle. There is such a thing as too strong or muscular for basketball. There is no value in the extra weight. That's why 99% of the league is extremely thin and wiry. There are diminishing returns to adding too much muscle.

Giannis is as strong and powerful as a NBA player needs to be. He could gain another 20-30lbs of rip. But it would be at the sacrifice of his speed and endurance, plus there is no benefit.

People have been harping on this since Zion came into the league. He is the most powerful guy. He doesn't want to lose that and staying big in his mind is the only way to retain it..

Teams should of been doing this in mlb.

Once they got the big deals, some would fatten up, like a big swine.

I think the cumulative weight is more important just because of how explosive he is as an athlete.

Whether it's 300+ lbs of mostly muscle or more fat, the forces that he's exerting on his knees and feet are going to add up (and have already had a significant impact by looking at his injury history).

They don’t actually care about the specific numbers. They don’t take advantage of it unless they cut him.

This is more about an agreement between the team and his team to have motivation to keep both down.

He's already a bust. Prove me wrong. Typical Duke overhyped bum. Tatum is the best player who is successful, and Duke had a bunch of good players who never panned out. Zion was too focused on eating pralines and po boys.

He’s had one of the best statistical seasons in the history of basketball. So proven.
